US Troops deployed to Israel and tensions with Iran increase
Like 22 years ago, another Gulf War seems to be in the offing. Details are emerging about the below-the-radar US military deployments in Israel. Russian media revealed that “thousands” of American troops are being deployed in Israel and Tehran is seeing the writing on the wall that “this is the latest and most blatant warning that the US will soon be attacking Tehran.”

John Rees of Stop the War Coalition in Britain " Iran a Greater Regional power as result of Iraq Invasion by the United States"
We are extremely concerned at reports that plans are being drawn up for an attack on Iran
The case being made for war on Iran is based on a series of speculations about 'undisclosed nuclear-related activities' reminiscent of the disproven 'intelligence' about weapons of mass destruction used to justify the disastrous attack on Iraq.
The West's attitude to Iran's nuclear weapons is hypocritical and contradictory.
The US and its allies remain silent about Israel's covert nuclear arsenal, the only one in the Middle East, while they are tightening the campaign of sanctions against Iran without real evidence.
Such an attitude, combined with threats of military action, can only serve to isolate and antagonise Iran.
The US is already flooding the Gulf region with arms and increasing its forces deployed in support of the autocracies in the Gulf.
Simply ending its militaristic posture towards Iran would ease tensions dramatically.
The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have had disastrous consequences including the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians and the displacement of millions.
Any attack on Iran would risk a wave of destruction across the region. Plans for an attack, along with sanctions against Iran, should be scrapped immediately.
The British government must pledge to have no involvement in any military action against Iran, including not allowing Diego Garcia to be used as a launch pad for air strikes.

Remembering Cornelius Cardew 1936 -1981 - Revolutionary Composer and Revolutionary Communist
This video was first shown as part of a concert in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the birth of composer and political activist Cornelius Cardew, at Conway Hall, London on December 17th 2011. The concert consisted entirely of works by Cornelius, for piano and violin.
Cardew became a member of the Communist Party of England (Marxist-Leninist) in the 1970s, and in 1979 was a co-founder and member of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist). His creative output from the demise of the Scratch Orchestra until his death reflected his political commitment. Cardew stated his attitude towards the avant-garde in Stockhausen Serves Imperialism:
Cardew's efforts to politicise culture in Britain were influenced by his relationship with Hardial Bains, the Canadian communist leader. Hardial Bains contributed the lyrics to Cardew's signature song from his later period, We Sing for the Future.
Cardew died on 13 December 1981, the victim of a hit-and-run car accident near his London home in Leyton. The driver was never found.

Musician John Tilbury, in his book Cornelius Cardew—A Life Unfinished suggests that the possibility that Cardew was killed because of his prominent Marxist-Leninist involvement "cannot be ruled out"
Tilbury quotes a friend of Cardew's, John Maharg; "MI5 are quite ruthless; people don't realise it. And they kill pre-emptively".
Democracy and Class Struggle although Cornelius Cardew rejected Maoism and was drawn to Hoxhaism has the principal anti revisionist force in the world- we still respect the man and his personal struggle.
The Cultural work of Cornelius Cardew is interesting and worthy of study but the political style of the movement he was part of left a lot to be desired and reflects the sectarian nature of Revolutionary Left Politics in Britain.

Enemy of the State - Why the NDAA is an Act of War passed January 1st 2012
Democracy and Class Struggle says Christopher Greene who speaks in the video below is a petty bourgeois who is being thrown into the working class by the big bourgeoisie in USA - hence his anger. The points in makes in the video are correct but do not come from a revolutionary communist position but from a petty bourgeois in crisis - hence his support for Ron Paul right wing populism.

The LLRC Report: A Process of Reconciliation or Perpetuation of a Dynastic Military Junta? by Surendra Ajit Rupasinghe: Secretary: Ceylon Communist Party-Maoist:
Ceylon Communist Party (Maoist)

By: Surendra Ajit Rupasinghe: Secretary: Ceylon Communist Party-Maoist:
The LLRC Report has served to polarize an already, irrevocably, polarized society, placed barriers in bringing about reconciliation and opened the country to even more foreign intervention. Here was a golden opportunity for the State and the Regime to come clean, on which basis the bridges of reconciliation could have been built and all foreign powers that intend to pursue their geo-political agendas by exploiting the situation would have been silenced. This issue affects all of us. It is our collective honor and dignity that is at stake. As citizens, as the supreme People of Lanka, we do not want our country to be seen as a morally degenerate banana republic. The country belongs to us, its citizens. It cannot be held hostage to any particular political agenda or regime. This issue affects our collective moral conscience, our shared sense of justice, our collective identity as a civilized human community. Therefore, we must pursue the debate, however consequential it may be.
Why could not the LLRC be constituted by eminent and trusted citizens of all nationalities and communities, instead of servants of the State and the regime, that is itself part of the investigation? Why could it not have been constituted with the participation and observation of eminent and trusted international personalities that have neither truck with foreign powers nor the regime? These questions have to be addressed with honesty and integrity.
What is at issue is not only whether any particular alleged violation did take place and who ultimately should be accountable up the line of command, including both the Regime and the LTTE leadership. This core issue is fundamental to the process of reconciliation with justice, and to our future as a united, civilized nation. The issue is also whether the particular political ideology and agenda, and the military doctrine that logically flowed from it, that inspired and led the war, are accountable for an even more perfidious crime than the alleged crimes already identified. This question is of paramount import since the political agenda and the military doctrine itself is being auctioned as a model of counter-insurgency, and is being applied by the Indian State against the Maoist insurgency throughout the "Red Corridor".
If the war on the side of the Regime and the State was waged based on a political ideology and an accompanying military doctrine aimed at militarily liquidating the LTTE, along with its political-military leadership, and to annihilate the political status of the Tamil nation; if the war was waged under a military doctrine with no regard for collateral damage in order to achieve this objective; and with that, to consolidate a Sinhala-Buddhist hegemonic-chauvinist-militarist State that would feed into the political agenda of perpetuating the Rajapakse dynastic regime, then the war itself is on trial. Then, the prosecution of all allegations of war crimes and atrocities achieve overriding political and moral legitimacy, and have to be accounted for in the name of our collective civilized existence, honor and justice. If the war was waged as a war of military conquest and political subjugation, as opposed to a war to establish ground conditions for a negotiated peace, then the political, ideological, psychological and moral bases would have ensured the perpetration of the identified alleged crimes and atrocities, since it would have been waged against an enemy nation, as opposed to a particular organization. It is within this political context and situational matrix that the LTTE is also to be held accountable for its crimes against humanity, including war crimes!
The facts on the ground attest to this political agenda of national subjugation and military conquest. The political status of the Tamil nation has been deleted from the political discourse and the Tamil people have been brought under military rule. There would be no political solution ever that accords dignity, equality, security, autonomy and democratic freedom to the Tamil people as a nation. There would only be the manipulations and procrastinations just to perpetuate the military conquest and occupation and keep the Regime alive and perpetuated. As it is, frontline Ministers have declared their intention to oppose and sabotage any form of devolution or power-sharing with Tamils. A situation is being created where a whole new wave of anti-Tamil violence could be unleashed, that would make Black July look white! Again, all those who stand with the Tamil nation and seek to share this Land with them as equals would be hounded, terrorized, abducted and murdered. Read the lines. Mainline Ministers, media institutions and far away ambassadors join in denying the political status of the Tamil nation. Some argue, in Neanderthal fashion, that there is no Tamil nation that has been officially recognized by any international agency! How asinine! How blatantly supremacist. The language of the unrepentant Oppressor! By the way, Sir, nations are forged in struggle, and not according to text books and international prescriptions and formulas. In one stroke, the national liberation struggles of the oppressed people of Kashmir, Assam, Nagaland are to be obliterated. How did East Timor – Achec- gain recognition as a nation, or even South Sudan and Norway? The US itself was forged as a nation through a separatist war, a war of independence. Recognition of the right of self-determination is NOT a recipe for separation, nor is separation the only solution to national oppression, but the only guarantee for a lasting democratic union. It is the violent – terrorist suppression of this fundamental democratic right that has given birth to the politics of "separatist terrorism" in Sri Lanka. The war of military conquest and political subjugation has served to only to drive the aspiration for Tamil independence underground, where it may take deep root and sprout anew with renewed vigor and force.
The Rajapakse regime claimed that the war was waged with "zero civilian casualties". Why does it now acknowledge, under the sanction of the LLRC and mounting international pressure, that; "ok, there could have been some civilian casualties and some atrocities". Why is that it is only when pressure mounts and the blood-drenched rag is being disrobed, that the rulers admit? And then pass it off as insignificant aberrations on the part of some errant soldiers to be investigated and prosecuted by the same regime, and its own corrupt law-enforcement – judicial apparatus. This is the unconscionable role of the LLRC, to pave the ground for such an abominable and immoral cover up.
It is abjectly pitiful that, instead of joining to seek truth, justice and genuine reconciliation and bring lasting peace to our Land, craven apologists, media lackeys and pompous ambassadorial sycophants join the bandwagon in denouncing the political status of the Tamil nation and celebrate its military subjugation. The TNA has become the scapegoat for this deflection and political betrayal. The TNA has given up the demand for recognition of the political status of the Tamil nation. Yet, the TNA is hounded as if they are the main barrier in achieving reconciliation based on a democratic political solution. We have no truck with the TNA, a Comprador-Landlord bourgeois alliance with its headquarters in New Delhi. However, if the agenda is to deny the political status of the Tamil nation and to impose a chauvinist-hegemonic military dictatorship, then we shall stand with the oppressed Tamil nation in its struggle for liberation- as we have done consistently. Once again, if the cause of separatism and terrorism is unilaterally and singularly latched on to the LTTE, without accounting for its fundamental, generative cause in the construction of a unitary, chauvinist, hegemonic State and the policy of intensifying and systematic discrimination and violent suppression of the Tamil nation, then we shall have no truck with the regime and its apologists- and so with the LLRC. We shall not stand with the politics of division and suppression, but shall struggle untiringly to unite all revolutionary-democratic forces in the task of achieving a united, independent, democratic and prosperous Lanka.
In the end, the power of reason, truth and justice shall prevail, catch up and overcome. The masses shall not tolerate their pitiless oppression endlessly. They shall be awakened, organized and mobilized to struggle with scientific consciousness, philosophical enlightenment and political responsibility to overthrow all tyrants and together achieve their freedom. Nothing is eternal. Everything consists and exists in an eternal process of coming into being and passing away, yielding to ever evolving new heights of human emancipation. That is the dialectic of History! And that time for settling accounts at the tribunal of History is drawing near, with the passing of each day.

New Year's greetings to the Filipino people in 2012 from the Communist Party of The Philippines
January 01, 2012
Read also in Pilipino
The leadership and the entire membership of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), the Red fighters of the New People's Army (NPA) and all the revolutionary forces greet the entire Filipino nation on the eve of 2012, the New Year.
In the face of the US-Aquino regime's intransigence in perpetuating its worn-out pro-imperialist, pro-landlord and onerous policies, the coming year will surely be marked by worsened economic and living conditions of the people. The much-vaunted "straight road of righteousness" is a straight and fast one only for big businessmen, foreign big capitalists and bureaucrat capitalists in Aquino's government. For the people, Aquino's "road" is no different from the path well-trodden by past reactionary regimes in the last 30 years.
Aquino's claims that our lives will be changing for the better in the coming year is pure deception, since he has in fact changed nothing about existing laws and policies. What changes will Aquino bring in 2012? More burdensome tax. Higher prices of gasoline, medicines, transport fare, education, health services and other basic needs. Reductions in the real wages of workers and ordinary employees. More demolitions to give way to the projects of Aquino's big businessman-friends. An even bigger external debt. Worsened poverty in the countryside due to the absence of land reform. More foreign companies plundering the environment and extracting our natural resources. Big businessman-friends of Aquino growing even wealthier and the Filipino people sinking ever deeper in the quagmire of poverty.
This new year, let us anticipate the great struggles that we need to wage in the coming year. Let us unit the broad masses against the US-Aquino regime and its anti-people undertakings. In particular, let us unite against the US-Aquino regime's "chacha" scheme to amend the reactionary 1987 constitution. This is one of the biggest measures planned by Aquino in compliance with the dictates of his imperialist masters. This aim to completely surrender the Philippines' economic sovereignty and patrimony.
Let us also prepare to launch major struggles against demolitions, mass layoffs, new tax burdens, increasing electricity and water rates, gasoline prices and others. The workers must struggle for higher wages. They must fight for national industrialization. Let us unite the peasant masses across the country to intensify the struggle for land reform. The minority people must unite with the rest of the people to intensify the struggle against the plunderous foreign mining corporations and plantations.
This coming year, let us thoroughly expose and resist bureaucrat capitalism under the US-Aquino regime, especially the latter's use of state power to favor Aquino's friends in big business and their foreign corporate cohorts. Let us be ready to struggle against intensified US military intervention. The people must steel their courage in waging allout resistance to Oplan Bayanihan and the AFP's brutality this year and in the coming years.
The Red fighters of the New People's Army and all NPA units and commands are pulling all stops to gain more strength and raise their capability to launch more and bigger tactical offensives this year. The NPAwill not allow AFP units to rest and will take advantage of all opportunities to deal blows on the fascists in order to stop them from ravaging and meting cruel blows on the people. This 2012, the NPA will be in a position to seize more weapons than ever before to arm ever bigger numbers of recruits. The US-Aquino regime will reel from the bigger tactical offensives and the body and head blows inflicted by the NPA on the enemy's fascist machinery.
Let us welcome the New Year with renewed determination to advance along the path of revolutionary struggle. Let us brace ourselves for advancing the people's revolutionary movement in an unprcedented way. Let us give our all in bringing the people's war to a new and higher stage.

Global Revolution- Occupy Wall Streets Livestream Evicted from Production Studio
A prominent source for Occupy Wall Street's global outreach and live streaming was reportedly shut down by the New York City Police Department on January 2. Global Revolution, a website which has broadcast Occupy Wall Street coverage since the movement's inception in September, claims it received an eviction notice at its Brooklyn studios on Monday night. The notice states the production space is "imminently perilous to life," and adds, "Violators of the Commissioner's Vacate Order are subject to arrest."
