August 1st: International Day of Action with Prison Hunger Strikers

CALL FOR AN INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST AND SOLIDARITY WITH THE PRISON HUNGER STRIKERS

In support and respect for the courageous prisoners at Pelican Bay State Prison and other prisons all around California, whose July 2011 hunger strike challenged the inhumane conditions of the Security Housing Units [“the SHU”] and inspired the support of people far and wide – we now call on people of conscience everywhere across the U.S. and beyond, to join in an International Day of Protest and Solidarity with the Prison Hunger Strikers on Monday, August 1, 2011.

The Hunger Strikers achieved real success: the conditions of systematic abuse and torture in the SHU – and widespread thru the prison system –were dragged into the light of day. Their original “five core demands” [attached] have now been acknowledged – although not yet met — by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), which promised to consider them. On Monday, August 1 many diverse people and organizations will publicly speak out and act in support of these demands. Prisoners must gain the human rights and civil rights demanded by their very humanity – and by ours outside the prison walls too, wherever we may be.

We insist there must be NO RETALIATION by the authorities against individual prisoners, groups of prisoners, prisoners’ family members or attorneys or other advocates, in the wake of the Hunger Strike. (And we will be paying attention.)

Let us show on August 1 that the prisoners do not stand alone, through our demonstrations, rallies, religious services, fasts, call-the-governor-days, art and music, taking to the airwaves thru talk show and other call-ins, and many other public, visual, and creative expressions.

Nepal Maoists adopt Peace and Constitution Paper and Organisational Changes to distribute power and rectify overconcentration of power in the leader.

The central committee (CC) meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) Monday passed party chairman Prachanda's  aka Pushpa Kamal Dahal's political paper, which has made peace and constitution as the main agenda of the party -- apart from dividing organisational duties to key leaders.

Maoist spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma told reporters after the CC meeting that Dahal's paper was passed unanimously. The meeting, which was cancelled several times in the wake of internal rift, concluded today.

According to the proposal, senior vice chairman Mohan Baidya will head the Organisation department along with the disciplinary body while vice chairman Baburam Bhattarai will chair the parliamentary board and will be the prime minister candidate for the future government. Similarly, another vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha will lead the party's team in the current government with home portfolio.

Likewise, general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa has been given the responsibility to oversee the military commission.

The CC also gave a week's time to the office-bearers to distribute the responsibilities to other leaders.

The Communists all over the world must join the emotion and indignation, but also and above all they must denounce the real leaders and instigators of these murders, the slaughters that are increasing in the world, the undeclared war of extermination that the world imperialist system fosters all over the world!

The instigators of the Nazi Christian Breivik Behring of Oslo, the fomenters, perpetrators and defenders of the mentality and behavior of the perpetrators of this barbaric slaughters and the like are the leaders of the world imperialist system, the international community of speculators, in particular the members of the three most important groups of this international community: the U.S. imperialist bourgeoisie, the Roman Catholic Church headed by the Vatican and the Pope who is its absolute monarch, the Zionist groups of Israel!

The world imperialist system has led humanity into a morass to which we have to put an end by establishing socialism starting from the imperialist countries. If we do not do it, we shall go through barbarism and destruction which quality will be equal to most primitive men’s actions and which amplitude will be equal to the means and knowledge that humanity has today.

Facing the dreadful slaughters of Oslo and of the island of Utoya we denounce the responsibilities of the leaders of the world imperialist system, in particular the U.S. imperialist bourgeoisie, the Roman Catholic Church and the Zionist groups in Israel. They are the three most influential groups of the leaders of the world imperialist system, the “international community” presided over by U.S. government and blessed by the Pope of Rome.

The slaughters of Oslo and of the island of Utoya are not manifestations of individual insanity. The author is not a fool: everything shows that indeed he is a person with mental capacity, by no means incapable of managing his social relations and the relations with the surrounding environment. Everything shows that he is an individual capable to make plans and to carry them out, to connect together the various aspects of reality, as indeed those aspects are connected and can be connected and how effectively they are connected by the leaders of the world imperialist system, the promoters of the “clash of civilizations” and of the global competition, the politicians and prelates who wanted and still want to require that Europe has to be Christian in the future and for eternity as it was in the past.

What made Behring Breivik of Oslo a murderer, so as what makes murderers many of his peers and people even younger than he who massacre in Afghanistan or in Palestine by acting directly on the ground or sitting at the console from which they guide bomb drones, are barbarian ideas, concepts, feelings and aspirations he did not invented and that are not his personal property. On the contrary they are professed and elaborated by the promoters of the reactionary mobilization of the masses and by the promoters of trials of fascism, who are thousands, who act even among us and perform their “heroic acts” against Roma camps, against marginalized people, against women, against immigrants, against homosexuals. These ideas, concepts and aspirations are not raving frenzies. They come from the social relations that the bourgeoisie and the clergy in general and the leaders of the world imperialist system impose on all humanity. They are one of the ways of reaction to the practical relations of dissolution of social solidarity, to the elimination of the rights the classes and the oppressed peoples conquered in the first wave of proletarian revolution promoted by the communist movement, to the relation of oppression and exploitation that the imperialist world system imposes on all humanity. They are an individual manifestation of the madness of the course the world imperialist system has given and imposes to humanity since when the momentum to the progress that the communist movement had given to all humanity exhausted.

Anders Behring Breivik the Norwegian Mass Murderer admires the English Defence League in UK

The rightwinger Anders Behring Breivik responsible for the massacre and bombing in Norway appears to have ties with UK-based “counter-jihad movement” the English Defence League.

In online rants, mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik describes himself as a rightwing conservative opposed to “Eurabia”, the “Islamisation of Europe” and the erosion of Christian values.

In a post on Norwegian website document.no he describes his admiration for the English Defence League, his contacts with the group and aspiration to set up a Norwegian sister organisation:

But I must say I am very impressed with how quickly they have grown but this has to do with smart tactical choice by management.

EDL is an example and a Norwegian version is the only way to prevent Flash / SOS to harass Norwegian cultural conservatives from other fronts. Creating a Norwegian EDL should be No. 3 on the agenda after we have started up a cultural conservative newspaper with national distribution.

The agenda of the Norwegian cultural conservative movement over the next 5 years are therefore:

1. Newspaper with national distribution
2. Working for the control of several NGOs
3. Norwegian EDL

Democracy and Class Struggle says Anders Behring Breivik is writing about the EDL has if it was not racist or nazi, this is incorrect. Roberta Moore head of the EDL Zionist wing has announced recently that she does not wish to be a part of EDL any longer because of Nazi elements within it and has resigned.

The 32 year old blonde Norwegian man  Anders Behring Breivik suspected of carrying out a bombing and shooting massacre in Norway posted on websites with Christian fundamentalist tendencies, according to a police official.

According to Norwegian TV2, Breivik had established right-wing credentials. Also, Expressen, a Swedish news site, said Breivik was an ultra nationalist, and had posted anti-Muslim writings on right-wing forums. According to UK's Daily Mail, police said the massacre was the work of a man with extreme right wing views who hated Muslims.

Ansar al- Jihad al Alami claim responsibility for Norway Attacks - Norwegian Police says it is most likely not international terrorism.

A terror group, Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, or the Helpers of the Global Jihad, issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack, according to Will McCants, a terrorism analyst at C.N.A., a research institute that studies terrorism. The message said the attack was a response to Norwegian forces’ presence in Afghanistan and to unspecified insults to the Prophet Muhammad.

“We have warned since the Stockholm raid of more operations,” the group said, according to Mr. McCants’ translation, apparently referring to a bombing in Sweden in December 2010. “What you see is only the beginning, and there is more to come.” The claim could not be confirmed.

The guy arrested by the police at Utøya (Where the Labour Party Youth have their summer camp) was blonde and Caucasian.

Norwegian Police say it was most likely not to be international terrorism.
