THE BOMBS GOING OFF IN PARIS ARE A RESULT ! SO THEN WHAT IS THE CAUSE ? FROM YURUYUS WEEKLY
France, which colonises one third of the African continent, is not innocent!
It is responsible for the poorest people living on land with the richest natural resources!
THE BOMBS GOING OFF IN PARIS ARE A RESULT!
SO THEN WHAT IS THE CAUSE?
On many occasions the imperialists win wars without even a bomb falling on their own land or shedding a drop of blood of their own blood. There is no problem with the peoples of the world spilling their own blood like a river, this is considered to be good. When their chickens come home to roost they become frantic, however.
The reason for this is that the imperialists, not least France itself, are responsible for the massacre in Paris, having turned the world into a lake of blood, from Afghanistan to Iraq, from Syria to Libya, Somalia, Africa, Palestine... It was none other than the imperialists who created reactionary gangs like Al Qaeda and ISIS among others. And this is why the Paris massacre is your work. But we should first of all state that this is a massacre undoubtedly perpetrated by ISIS. As in earlier instances, it did not target French imperialism but targeted the people. And this certainly cannot be defended.
The bombs going off in Paris are a result; so what is the cause?
Let us start with some questions - there is a reason and a result for everything!
What is on the agenda of the European imperialists? Refugees and ISIS terror.
Why is it on the agenda? Bombs exploded in Paris and they themselves suffered.
So what did they do? They proceeded to attack the rights the peoples have gained up to now. They rushed to promulgate new "anti-terror laws".
What is the reason and who is responsible for millions of people becoming refugees, often risking death in the process? Those who said they were "bringing democracy" to Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Algeria and Syria, sucking the blood of the peoples of the world...
Yesterday Al Qaeda. today ISIS and various other reactionary and contra organisations - who created, nurtured and built them up?
No need to go back very far, simply in the past 15 years look at the period - in Asia, the Middle East and Africa millions of our people have died. Those who die are the poor, our people. But was there ever an officially declared war? Who was fighting whom, is this known? We know one thing - so that the monopolies could reap more profits and find new markets, it started wars on impoverished peoples.
ISIS committed massacres prior to the bombs it detonated in Paris. For five years on live TV you have seen it cut throats and sever legs and arms. You created a monster. The monster was fed with blood and lives and you armed it, financed it, trained and equipped it. And it was the peoples whose lives were lost and whose blood was shed.
"Whatever happens, let terror keep away from us." Oh really?
One day before the Paris massacre, two bombs in Shia neighbourhoods of Beirut killed 37 people. Their crime was being Shia. The massacre was attributed to ISIS.
Suruc: a place far from you whose name might even be unknown to you. It was enough to "mourn". The train station of Ankara? Perhaps not on your travel itinerary, but human flesh was plastered into its asphalt. Those who were slaughtered were victims of the ISIS you nurtured.
And now the boomerang has turned around and struck you. Everywhere else perhaps but surely not where you are, is that it? You have lives but nobody else does, is that it?
Before the bombs exploded a statement by ISIS in the concert area is worthy of attention: "Your government is responsible. France should not intervene in Syria."
Do you not remember how the rundown suburbs of Paris have burned from end to end? 10 years ago the streets of Paris were on fire. A "rabble" of young people whose origins lie in North Africa set fire to the suburbs of Paris. 9,000 vehicles were set alight, 300 public buildings were destroyed. Who were these young people, mostly in their twenties? In many cases from parts of Black Africa that you have colonised...
Do not suppose that Rwanda has been forgotten. Have you forgotten your responsibility for supporting Hutu who in three months slaughtered 800,000 people?
Or what happened to Libya and Gaddafi...
Or Algeria? Nobody has forgotten, and here it is necessary to search for the answer to the question,
"Why France?"
Do not forget, you are in the neighbourhood of a bomb of universal import. The bombs exploding today are the work of gangs you trained. And that is why they make no distinction between the righteous and the unrighteous, guilty or innocent.
And do not suppose that those who are motivated by class anger and the search for freedom and justice will not also knock at your door one day.
"September 11" precautions in France
Immediately after the massacre France declared that it would be "at war with terrorism" and launched an air attack on Raqqa in Syria, which is under the control of ISIS!
Refresh your memories: Bush also had said he would launch a "crusade against terrorism" to the end! Military operations are one aspect of this, but another at the same time consists of attacks on basic rights and freedoms. So immediately after the Paris attacks France and other EU countries lost no time in discussing such matters. New confiscations of rights are to be added to those taken away after September 11.
The system of surveillance introduced in the USA after September 11 was put before parliament in France. Very wide powers are being given to police and intelligence entities by new laws to keep telephones and the Internet under surveillance.
Laws provide for the closure of sites making "terrorism propaganda", and police and intelligence services no longer need a warrant from a prosecutor before being able to listen in on terrorism suspects, and novelties like the introduction of technical substructures are being expanded in scope. Powers are given to the Interior Ministry and intelligence agencies to keep tabs on the telephone calls and electronic communication of "potential terrorists" with no need for a warrant from a prosecutor.
Moreover, by the end of this year it is envisaged that 2,680 new intelligence agents will be recruited who know languages, especially Arabic, or are experts in information technology.
Despite the government being supposed to be a left-wing one, and the text was to be voted on on May 5, despite all disputes it was also supported by the "right wing" in parliament. Once again we see that it changes nothing whether a government is "right-wing" or "left-wing", they know that when it comes to ruling-class interests they will act together.
In the name of the "struggle against terrorism" the government promulgates new laws that grant limitless powers to the intelligence services. It will be remembered that after the attacks on September 11, 2001 in the USA, the "Patriot Act" was passed which ensured that the National Security Agency (NSA) could maintain surveillance of the telephones and e-mails of US citizens without legal permission.
After the Paris attacks, the EU's council on justice and internal affairs held an extraordinary session to debate precautions that were to be taken. In a statement that was issued it was reported that the meeting dealt with the collection of passenger name records (PNR), the smuggling of arms, strengthening control of external borders, the financing of terrorism and other matters.
The French interior minister said that there was an urgent need to collect the PNR of people coming to European countries, even without a concrete attack plan, as "there is no time to spare. Terrorists are crossing the frontiers of Europe." This showed the scope of the attacks on freedoms that are to be carried out. Nearly all EU countries will put similar practices, new laws and naturally encroachments on democratic rights into effect.
What is this, "a struggle against terrorism"! Are you not the biggest terrorist of all?
It is you who does not recognise laws and justice. Never mind your own countries, you even see yourselves as possessing the right to intervene in other countries. Your practices exploit the peoples in ways reminiscent of the period of slavery. And now you talk of terrorism. Are you looking for terrorists? Look at yourselves, and the monsters you have created!
You are guilty: you will learn to live in fear!
The guilty have started to wait: "wondering where there will be another explosion". "Terrorist alarms" took place in Brussels and at the same time in Germany. Barely a week had passed before blood was spilled in Mali, a former colony of France.
In Bamako, the capital of the West African country, two people entered the Radisson Hotel and took 170 people hostage. The hostage crisis lasted 12 hours and ended bloodily with 27 deaths. This time while one of those responsible was the Al Mourabitoun organisation which supports Al Qaeda, the other entity responsible is no stranger to us - it is the imperialists. As a result of the "rescue operation" by American and French special forces, 27 people were killed.
Helpful France said it would give every kind of help to Mali. Why? Because like a number of African countries Mali is a "former" French colony. Let it be remembered that in January 2013 the northern part of the country fell into the hands of militants connected to Al Qaeda and they threatened to march on Bamako, and at this point France intervened.
French colonialism and the dark fate of the Dark Continent!
Despite France having lost a great deal of the territory in our day that it had colonised, it retains almost complete control of an important area. In the 19th century and the Industrial Revolution that came with it, European capitalists cast eyes on the underground wealth of Africa because of the need for crude oil and new markets.
Because: 79.2% of the gold, 76.6% of the diamonds, 75.5% of the cobalt, 49% of the platinum , 41% of the vanadium and 20.9% of the uranium produced comes from this continent. In other words the continent of Africa is an enormous continent possessing a third of the world's mineral wealth.
We know that even if the groundwork of modern colonialism was laid by Portugal and Spain, in Africa Western colonialism really started with France. Among modern nations France was the first country to colonise Africa in a planned way.
The soil colonised by France:
Algeria was occupied between 1830-1847, Gabon in 1839, Mauretania in 1854, Senegal in 1855, along with some parts of Guinea and the Ivory Coast, the Republic of Congo in 1859, Tunisia in 1881, the Comoro Islands in 1886, Madagascar in 1885, Djibouti in 1888, Selou (Mali) between 1885 and 1890, Benin in 1898, Central Africa and Chad between 1901 and 1913 and Morocco in 1912. So France colonised a third of the Dark Continent.
Thus France became the second great colonising state in the world, after Britain. What would France be doing if Angola, Nigeria and Congo did not have petrol, Mali did not have gold, Algeria natural gas, Niger uranium, Gabon forests, the Ivory Coast and Ghana cocoa, Mali and Burkina Faso cotton, Rwanda and Uganda coffee, Kenya tea, Madagascar and the Comoro islands vanilla and Mauritania fish?
The poorest people live on the wealthiest soil
It is not necessary to spend much time in order to understand the negative effects of colonialism on Africa. It is only necessary to look at the economic situation of the people on the continent and the poverty they live in.
Today Black Africa, despite possessing rich natural resources, is subject to hunger and misery. 300 million people on the continent live on an income of less than a dollar a day, on the continent every ten seconds a child loses his or her life as a result of malnutrition or preventable illnesses, and while in the imperialist countries there is a yearly health expenditure of 600 dollars per capita, in Africa this figures falls to three dollars and it is not a crime of Africans that others have a standard of living 200 times better.
Again. the combined yearly income of 48 countries in the Dark Continent is just slightly more than the yearly income of Belgium, and of the world's 50 poorest countries 33 are found in Africa south of the Sahara. In the first War of Partition (WW1), France lost 1,400,000 soldiers, three million were wounded and of these one million were left handicapped. A majority of them were brought from its colonial countries.
Today 22 African countries have French as their official language! Moreover many countries do not use it as the official language but like Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco use it for administrative purposes. And France has military bases on the territory of Chad, Senegal, Djibouti, Gabon, the Ivory Coast and other places.
France continued to exploit countries it had openly colonised up to 1958, even after they attained "independence". It is said that from 14 former colonies, in the course of 60 years France has obtained 500 billion dollars in "colonial tax".
The countries in question - Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon have 85% of their annual income transferred to the French Central Bank. The remaining 15% is what African countries use to run their economies, and because of their material restrictions, they have to remain in debt to the French Central Bank for the money they have themselves deposited there.
All right, if luckless Black Africa does not pay these taxes, and defies France, then what? They have defied it, but it is certain that they will experience coups or become "victims" of assassination if they do. In the past 50 years, 26 African countries have experienced a total of 67 military coups. 16 of these countries are former colonies of France.
You are not innocent: you have eaten human flesh and drunk human blood!
There is no limit to France's attacks on impoverished peoples. As will be seen in what we reveal below, France is one of the imperialist states engaging in attacks, occupations, massacres, sabotage, murder and exploitation, especially against the peoples of the Middle East and Africa. It is inevitable that France will be the target of the anger of the peoples.
In one sentence: imperialists, you are murderers. You are the murderer of our children even before they are born or are washed up on shores like dead fish. You are the reason why millions have become refugees. Have you not looked at the situation of Iraq? Or Libya? And now you have turned Syria into a lake of blood. You have created gangs like ISIS who have stepped outside the bounds of humanity, and now you reap what you sow. And you are responsible for the terror and the horror!
To sum up:
1. It is imperialist France that is chiefly responsible for our people who died in the Paris Massacre. It is the imperialists who nurture and support killers like ISIS and so on. It is normal to be the target of imperialists and their collaborators. Because imperialists and their collaborators are in the first degree responsible for every kind of repression, tyranny and exploitation.
2. France in particular but all EU countries will start a new attack on rights and freedoms on the pretext of "terrorism". And organised, revolutionary-democratic sections will be the principal targets.
Again, racist attitudes against foreigners and Muslim peoples will harden, and xenophobia will develop. It will be necessary for the peoples to resist and pay a price for the rights and freedoms they won earlier.
3. The European imperialists cannot solve the "refugee problem". Because it is imperialism itself that creates "refugees". They are the ones who bomb the peoples, occupy countries and drive people from their homelands. To prevent this it is possible for the peoples to unite, organise and wage wars of independence against imperialism.
4. ISIS carried out the massacre. For organisations like ISIS there is no such thing as just or unjust, innocent or guilty. Only revolutionaries think like that.
In our country and Europe, a lot of young people are joining ISIS.
We have to organise much more so as not to leave our young people to reactionary killers like ISIS.
Everyone that we do not organise is turned into a soldier who is added to the enemy arsenal.
We will not allow this

The Left in Turkey by Steve Kaczynski
Democracy and Class Struggle asked Steve Kaczynski recently released from a Turkish prison to give an overview of the Left in Turkey to help clarify the situation for us and other comrades - here is his reply.
Although there was some interest in socialism in the last decades of the Ottoman Empire, the story of the left in Turkey really starts with the founding of the TKP (Communist Party of Turkey) in 1920.
Symptomatic of the fate of Communists and socialists in the decades to come, its leader, Mustafa Suphi, and a number of his comrades were murdered within a few months of the party's foundation.
The TKP was in fact to be illegal for most of its life, and frequently persecuted under the Republic, though Kemal Ataturk allegedly toyed with the idea of creating a fake "Communist Party" as a kind of loyal opposition.
The TKP did have an impact on Turkey's intellectual life, with Turkey's most prominent 20th century poet, Nazim Hikmet (1902-1963) as one of its leaders.
Hikmet also spent much of his life in jail, again a token of the party's illegal status.
A military coup in 1960 removed the right-wing and pro-NATO government of Adnan Menderes, and although Turkey did not leave NATO, the political left achieved some space to operate during the 1960s.
A legal party, TIP (Workers' Party of Turkey) was formed. It tended to be pro-USSR although some internal tensions on this score plagued the party, especially when one of its leaders, Mehmet Ali Aybar, denounced the 1968 Soviet intervention in Czechoslovakia and was forced to resign.
The TIP had won 15 seats in the 1965 election but lost most of them in 1969. The 1960s also saw the creation of militant trade unions and considerable student radicalism, much of it triggered by the Vietnam War. Some student radicals had been in the TIP but increasingly rejected it as too moderate and ineffective, especially after its 1969 setback. A youth organisation, Dev-Genc (Revolutionary Youth) arose at this time.
This was also a time when Islamists and fascists began attacking left-wing demonstrators, and the end of the 1960s and the beginning of the 1970s saw the formation of an armed left.
One group took the name THKO (People's Liberation Army of Turkey). Its leader, Deniz Gezmis, had received training in Palestinian guerrilla camps before returning to Turkey to begin underground struggle. THKO kidnapped some US servicemen but Gezmis and other leaders were arrested shortly afterwards.
A student radical, Mahir Cayan, formed the THKP-C (People's Liberation Party-Front of Turkey). This elaborated a theory that Turkey was in the grip of neo-colonial fascism under the control of imperialism. The THKP-C kidnapped and killed the Istanbul consul of Israel.
The Turkish army carried out a coup in March 1971 and there were mass arrests of socialists, many of whom were tortured. Cayan was captured but later managed to escape. Meanwhile, Gezmis and two of his comrades were sentenced to death.
After Cayan broke out, he put together what was left of the THKP-C organisation along with some individuals from the THKO who had escaped arrest. They decided to kidnap NATO technicians to try and prevent the executions.
On March 30, 1972, they were surrounded by the Turkish army at Kizildere in Turkey's northern Black Sea area, and Cayan, the hostages and all but one of his comrades were killed in the ensuing shoot-out. Kizildere is still to this day a rallying cry of the radical left in Turkey. Gezmis and two of his comrades were executed in May 1972.
A third armed current was Maoist, around the charismatic figure of another student radical, Ibrahim Kaypakkaya. He set up the TKP/ML (Communist Party of Turkey Marxist-Leninist) with an armed wing called TIKKO (Workers' and Peasants' Liberation Army of Turkey). This primarily operated in a part of Turkey's Kurdish east. Kaypakkaya was wounded and captured in 1973, and died under torture.
Ibrahim Kaypakkaya
After the military coup ended, political activity resumed as the 1970s proved to be a particular time of turmoil in Turkey's history. Left-wing radicals often claiming the mantle of THKO, THKP-C or TKP/ML clashed with the far right who were openly encouraged by the state. The 1977 Istanbul May Day rally was attacked by gunmen almost certainly acting with state connivance, resulting in over 30 deaths.
Sectarian tensions were also played on at this time, with Sunni fanatics claiming that Alevis (roughly speaking, the Shia Muslims of Turkey) were plotting with Communists to destroy mosques. An anti-Alevi pogrom in Maras, southern Turkey in December 1978 claimed more than a hundred lives.
The left often had effective control of city neighbourhoods at this time, but its strength was often dissipated in feuding among rival left groups. Clashes with fascist groups also claimed many lives.
Some senior state officials were also killed - for example, Nihat Erim, who had been prime minister in 1971-2 and had signed the death sentence of Gezmis, was killed by Devrimci Sol (Revolutionary Left), a successor group to the THKP-C.
With the US fearing that Turkey was threatening to slip out of control the way Iran had the previous year, Turkey's army generals staged another coup in September 1980. This was more thoroughgoing than the 1971 coup and for several years political life in Turkey was frozen. Hundreds of thousands of people, mostly from the left, were detained during this time, and torture was widespread. This was also a time when a large number of political exiles fled to Europe. The return to civilian rule was only superficial, with left-wing groups and trade union activists continuing to be under pressure from the state.
The PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party), founded in 1978 by people who had in some cases been involved with Dev-Genc, began Kurdish nationalist guerrilla warfare against the Turkish state in 1984, with its leadership operating from Baathist Syria. State repression of both the PKK and the more militant wing of the Turkish left marked the 1980s and 1990s.
Some of the Turkish left who had once favoured armed struggle turned against it after the 1980 coup, affected by state repression and also the persistent search for a parliamentary road. The collapse of the socialist bloc also affected the left in Turkey to a considerable degree, though arguably less than in many other countries.
PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan was captured in 1999, which weakened but did not destroy Kurdish nationalism in Turkey. A prison crackdown in December 2000 resulted in the deaths of many left-wing militants, also triggering hunger strikes and death fasts that in some cases lasted for years.
The DHKP-C (Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front), a successor group to Devrimci Sol, was particularly targeted in the crackdown and many of its militants also died in death fasts. The "moderate Islamist" AKP government came to power in 2002 - it continued repression of the left and encouraged privatisation, though some cultural concessions were made to Turkey's Kurds.
Over time a sense of creeping Islamicisation fostered by the AKP government contributed to the Gezi events of 2013, when at times millions of people were protesting in the streets.
Turkey's left-wing groups, both legal and illegal, were heavily involved in the protests, although the mainstream "secular" CHP (Republican People's Party) was the single most significant force.
The HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) founded in 2012 attracted support from some of the Turkish left, though its voting base and organisation is essentially Kurdish and it has been accused by the pro-AKP media and state forces of being a political wing of the PKK.
It took a somewhat cool attitude to the Gezi protests as it thought the AKP might be willing to resolve the Kurdish question and this might be endangered if the AKP lost power - a belief negated by the events of 2015.
The AKP failed to win an overall majority for the first time in the June 7 elections that year, then restarted conflict with the PKK to create a state of emergency situation for new elections on November 1 where it did regain its majority - demoralising some on the left who had over-estimated the significance of the June 7 election result.
Fighting and the chronic political tensions characteristic of Turkey continue, with the AKP ever more openly showing the same right-wing authoritarian face that has always confronted the left in Turkey.
The conflicts in neighbouring Syria and to a lesser extent Iraq are also destabilising the situation in Turkey.
This survey will conclude with an overview of left groups and parties in Turkey
.
EMEP - Party of Labour. Descended from the THKO, this party's name is inspired by that of the former ruling party in Albania - Hoxhaism was rather popular among the left in Turkey in the 1970s and 1980s. A legal party, it operates the satellite channel Hayat TV (Life TV) and has a daily newspaper Evrensel (Universal).
ODP - Freedom and Solidarity Party. Established 1996. Diverse ideological origins, including some Trotskyists. A leading figure, Ufuk Uras, was elected to parliament as an independent with Kurdish nationalist support in the 2007 election but later fell out with his party. A legal party, it publishes the daily Bir Gun (One Day).
HTKP and KP - Respectively, People's Communist Party of Turkey and Communist Party. They are separate organisations as a result of a split in 2014 in the TKP, itself originally a party of the 1990s called SIP (Socialist Power Party) not really related to the historic TKP - it took the name TKP in 2000. Both parties are legal.
ESP - Socialist Party of the Oppressed. This is particularly close to the Kurdish nationalist movement while espousing Marxist-Leninism. Legal, but considered by Turkish state forces and some media outlets to be linked to the MLKP (Marxist-Leninist Communist Party) which is banned. The MLKP was a fusion of ex-Maoist and Hoxhaite groups in the 1990s. ESP members and supporters were the principal targets of the Suruc massacre in July 2015.
DHKP-C - Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front. Marxist-Leninist, inspired by Che Guevara and the writings of Mahir Cayan. Pursues armed struggle, considering the Turkish state to be fascist. Anti-imperialist, it has attacked the US embassy in 2013 and the US Istanbul consulate in 2015, as well as carrying out a rocket attack on the main police headquarters in Ankara in 2013 in reprisal for police repression of the Gezi protests. Classified as a terrorist group by the USA and EU.
TKP/ML - Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist-Leninist. Maoist, inspired by Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, is illegal, pursues guerrilla warfare and recently its armed wing TIKKO carried out a joint attack with PKK guerrillas.
MKP - Maoist Communist Party - used to be called TKP(ML). Separate from the preceding organisation though it has a similar ideology. The two organisations have different international affiliations, however. Illegal. The MKP armed wing is HKO (People's Liberation Army).
Hardly an exhaustive list but these are the main groupings of the left in Turkey.
I have covered the Kurdish nationalist movement only in passing as this really requires a separate article.

Rojava: the fight against Daesh (ISIS) involves the struggle against Imperialism! by Bloc Rouge
The revolutionary process in Rojava (“Syrian” Kurdistan) has won victory after victory against the fascist forces of Daesh. It is a historical example which is playing a unifying role in the international struggle of the peoples. Many individuals and organizations from different countries have come to fight and defend the Rojava Revolution.
The MLKP launched an appeal several months ago to join the fighters and combatants unified in the YPG (People’s Defense Forces). The International Liberation Brigade was thus formed with the participation of anarchists, communists and revolutionaries from Turkey, Kurdistan, Caucasus, Greece, Germany, Spain, Armenia, …
Maoist Comrades of the TIKKO (Workers and Peasants Liberation Army of Turkey) linked to the TKP/ML also participate. Many other combatants are participating the in YPG, including many communists from France, Italy, the USA, Argentina, … In the statement of formation of the Brigade, the historical examples are clear:
“Rojava is today: What was yesterday the Paris Commune besieged by Germany, Madrid in the Spanish Civil War, Stalingrad during the Second World War.”
Democratic revolution and national liberation in Rojava has changed the balance of power of this region. This revolution is also the revolution of women, against the patriarchal and reactionary world.
IMPERIALISTS ARE THE PRODUCERS OF TERRORISM
The imperialist powers sow war and cause misery, exploitation and oppression around the world to ensure their rate of profit. They fuel internal conflicts to create chaos by using ethnic, religious, economic and military difference, to carry out interventions to seize power, raw materials and control of strategic zones on the geo-political level. Do not forget that Al Qaeda was trained and funded by US imperialism to fight Soviet social-imperialism during the invasion of Afghanistan.
After the withdrawal of Soviet troops, the war between warlords would provoke the intervention of the Taliban, which served as an excuse for US imperialism and its allies to intervene directly, not having been able to impose its sustainable watchdogs.
Imperialism then occupied the country in a coalition of twenty countries including French and German imperialism and set up a puppet state, army and police. This did not prevent the Taliban from remaining their partial withdrawal.
Daesh is now trying to impose itself in Afghanistan. The attack against the World Trade Center in 2001 would allow Bush whose family and friends are among the oil and arms trade magnates into Iraq, which was accused of possessing weapons of mass destruction.
According to US officials, Iraq was part of the “axis of evil”, and war was declared on behalf of the “clash of civilizations”. This new intervention was only an excuse in the name of democracy and freedom, to physically remove Saddam Hussein to set up a puppet state protected by the US military occupation.
This Iraqi government excluded and marginalized the Sunni clan of the former dictator in favor of Shiites. This caused resentment and promoted the rise of religious fundamentalism, then the rise of Daesh which was officially affiliated with Al Qaeda and which merged with the Al Nusra Front before cutting ties with Al Qaeda during its expansion into Syria. A part of the Al Nusra Front will then ready allegiance to Al Qaeda.
The support of the imperialist for Al Nusra, used by Daesh to obtain weapons, was thinly veiled. Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs noted on January 28, 2013 that “on the ground, they [Al Nusra] do a good job.”
From the point of view of the imperialists, the wave of revolts in the Arab countries of the 2010s, allowed them to reshuffle the cards and put up new watchdogs.
Thus, in Libya, the opportunity was open for the imperialists to attack Gaddafi. It was French imperialism which took responsibility for this, bombing Gaddafi’s positions. 40 tons of weapons were delivered by French imperialism to the rebels, groups of whom were close or directly affiliated to Al Qaeda.
Ironically, Jean-Yves Le Drian, then defense minister, defended the intervention and the arms deliveries as fight against jihadism!
After the liquidation of Gaddafi, as in Afghanistan, cliques of warlords stood up each against each others, causing widespread chaos, which allowed many groups affiliated to al Qaeda (or not) to arm themselves with the dislocated stocks of the old regime with the help of international traffickers linked to the arms industry.
Some of these groups, such as Boko Haram, have subsequently joined Daesh. French imperialism subsequently intervened against Bashar al-Assad in Syria, who suppressed the people’s revolt with extreme violence.
The revolt was quickly recuperated by various local lords armed by the imperialists, hoping to make their new watchdogs.
The Free Syrian Army (which initially gathered sections of the secular opposition but quickly allied with Islamist groups) and the Al Nusra Front in particular, increased the local arsenal of “rebels” supported by the imperialists, an arsenal which gave Daesh even more fuel.
On the other hand, French imperialism supports many states who themselves support Daesh by various means, including logistically and economically,
Erdogan’s Turkey first of all.
No state admits this officially but the evidence is extensive. Dominique de Villepin, former prime minister, said in September 2014 on France 2: “Let us realize that the Islamic state, Daesh, was largely created by us, from war to war. ”
THE RISE OF DAESH
Daesh strategy is very different from that of Al Qaeda, who practice a kind of foco war, in the form of armed actions in various countries and regions.
Daesh has a political project: the creation of a caliphate overwhelming existing borders in the Muslim world, crushing national minorities and other religions, including Shia Islam.
Taking advantage of the chaos and appearing as radical and determined, Daesh rallied former officers and soldiers of Saddam Hussein and Sunni scholars opposed to the Syrian regime and seized arms of disorganized armies, delivered by the imperialist powers to Iraq.
Daesh was able to build an armed force and conquer territories in Syria and northern Iraq. In this territories, there is not only a military occupation of the conquered land or elimination of the Shiite enemy, Christian and other minorities, but organization of the conquered territory, to establish a state. Through this, oil facilities, the sale of works of art, archaeological treasures, etc., Daesh accumulated a war chest to pay his soldiers and officers, and to levy taxes.
Daesh entrusts the management of current business to elites or to ruling classes, by giving them non-sovereign positions. Every aspect of life is governed by the rule established by Daesh, opponents are brutally repressed.
The imperialist schemes, even those of the coalition, will not overcome Daesh since by striking civilians, they bring new forces to Daesh.
The coalition of imperialist powers, those engaged on the field, those of France, the United States, Russia and others like Turkey more concerned to fight against the Kurds than against Daesh, are also executioners of the people and will eventually give a false anti-imperialist mystique to Daesh. The establishment of a joint command will not change anything.
Imperialism seeks a way out of the situation it has itself created to establish a new puppet. While the Russian and Chinese imperialists see their interests represented by Bashar al-Assad, the US imperialists and the French want a puppet government formed out of the Free Syrian Army.
The inter-imperialist tensions are reaching an unprecedented scale and leading to the risk of a generalized inter-imperialist conflict. We Maoists, we do not forget that a spark can set fire to the prairie.
THE RISE OF RELIGIOUS FASCISM IS STRENGTHENING THE RISE OF FASCISM IN THE IMPERIALIST COUNTRIES
Daesh’s tactics are not only the destabilization of the countries in the Middle East and Africa, but also destabilizing the imperialist countries, organizing terrorist attacks, based on contradictions among the people.
The ideological vacuum created by the restoration of capitalism and the transformation of Communist parties into reformist parties without revolutionary perspective has left the field open to nationalist ideologies and penetration of Daech among a small minority of youth who reject this system but find themselves lost without political perspective. These youth is used by Daech as cannon fodder for the reign of new exploiters and oppressors who hide their class nature.
The attacks that hit the civilian population of the imperialist countries strengthen the police state and the militarization of society with the establishment of a State of Emergency, racism in particular anti-refugee and Islamophobia, acceptance of National Union behind the bourgeoisie, the division of the working class and the masses of France, … This also allows the state to pursue its plan of “reforms” in peace, that is, that is the plans to liquidate social conquests. In short, the bourgeoisie can more easily pursue its offensive against the proletariat and the masses.
The Socialist Party government has implemented points of the National Front in it own program, and they answer “We knew it ! We had the solution from the beginning ! “.
The State practices the policy of dividing the working class and at the same time calls for national unity against terrorism, which means for new military aggression. While brandishing the threat of terrorism of which it is the source, it targets a scapegoat, the refugees fleeing their country under the weight of poverty and of war. The governments of right and left are the creators of unemployment, which allows them to lower wages. The parties supposed to represent workers are reformist parties and have no program, no revolutionary strategy.
They also rallied to the National Unity project which aims to get everyone, as if there were no social classes, all behind the flag to prepare for war. Its much like the months before the first world war.
'
Together they voted for the restriction of freedoms, the re enforcement of the police and the militarization of society. The three month State of Emergency is barely discussed before the vote is made to extend it. A curfew was imposed in Sens! Already searches occur everywhere, affecting people who either have done nothing or are anarchists or revolutionary activists.
Sentences of house arrest fall to “prevent” the militants’ “reach to state security “! Attacks and bombing against Muslims, Jews and immigrants perpetrated by Nazi and fascist groups multiply.
In the course of searchs, cops also destroy places of worship as they have done in Aubervilliers.
All this brings water to the mill of fascism and the Hollande government is responsible, along with others for to its continual rise. If the fascist party came to government, there would be no need for new laws to muzzle dissent: the legal arsenal, watchdogs and climate are already prepared.
THE ROLE OF MAOISTS IN THIS SITUATION
The call of the Rojava International Brigades which we we must support and make known, is a source of inspiration for us in the struggle against imperialism, against the bourgeois state and parties running this state and against the fascists.
The International Brigade is composed of combatants from several countries, from communist and revolutionary organizations fighting against the fascist regime of Erdogan who wages war more against the PKK and the revolutionaries of Turkey and Kurdistan than against Daesh.
The struggle of the IBL and more generally of YPG shows us the path of struggle against Daesh. It’s the anti-imperialist struggle, the revolutionary struggle, with the aim of building a new society.
This is this alternative that we must put forward to counter the imperialist propaganda to join the French Army in the fight against terrorism. Their war is an unjust war because it is led to take control of raw materials, labor and strategic zones to ensure a the rate of profit of the monopolies.
The struggle of the IBL and YPG is a just war because it aims to free the people and build a new society. Even after Daesh is expelled, the fight will continue on the path of revolution. Otherwise, it will be for the benefit of the imperialists and their watchdogs.
The role of the Maoists is firstly to bring together whatever their origin, the working men and women of all nationalities, immigrants with or without papers, youth and women who have a primary role in the revolutionary struggle against patriarchy, obscurantism and fascism.
We must reject national unity imposed by the bourgeois state. Maoist Communists must learn from the Rojava International Brigade which is a first step in building an anti-imperialist and anti-fascist revolutionary front.
The working class and its children should not put their destiny, their lives in the hands of the police and militarized state or follow the fascists, nor be used as cannon fodder for one or the other. It is in this sense that in factories, workplaces, professional schools, the CFA, the poor suburbs we must join forces against racism, fascism and all reactionaries.
These are our support bases. We’re not afraid to fight, but we do not fight for a cause that is not that of the proletariat and the masses.
We will fight in a just war, that of the people against their exploiters and oppressors: the people’s war.
This people’s war is the one that must be conducted in all countries to end imperialism and fascism. To lead the people’s war, three instruments are indispensable: the Party, the United Front and Fighting Force.
We therefore position ourselves in the line of Comrades from India, the Philippines, Peru, Turkey and other countries that are implementing or preparing people’s war.
We also position ourselves to support the International Brigades struggling against imperialism and Daesh, weapons in hand, relying primarily on their own strength.
It is the time for the construction of these three instruments of the revolution!
Only the proletariat, the organized popular masses can achieve a proletarian revolution !
IT IS RIGHT TO REBEL!
LONG LIVE THE PEOPLE’S WAR!
DOWN WITH IMPERIALISM, ITS WATCHDOGS AND FASCISM!
PROLETARIANS AND OPPRESSED PEOPLES OF ALL COUNTRIES UNITE!

DROP THE CHARGES AGAINST NORWEGIAN SEVEN : DEMONSTRATION IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE ON 3RD. DECEMBER. 2015
Seven Norwegian anti racists will not be having a very merry Christmas this year.
The Norwegian Government accuse them of fraud and are putting them on trial in the New Year.
These committed campaigners are prominent members of the SOS Racisme organisation.
It campaigns against racial hatred in Norway, especially attacks on migrant workers and refugees.
The funds it received from Norwegian state bodies were perfectly above board and legitimate.
The truth is that the real reason for the prosecution is that the accused are members of Tjen Folket (Serve the People), a militant left wing organisation which the Norwegian Government wants to stamp out.
The falsely accused are Kjell Gunnar Larsen, Trond Thorbjørnsen,, Henrik Ormasen, Kenneth.Fuglemsmo , Jan Erik Skretteberg, Bjarne Stokke and Anne Elizabeth Hansen.
They are accused of embezzling a total of 16.8 million Kroner and if found guilty could face up to nine years in prison.
At 18.00 on Thursday, 3rd. December the lights on the annual Norwegian Christmas Tree in Trafalgar Square, London will be switched on.
Present at the ceremony will be the Norwegian Ambassador, Mayor of Oslo and Mayor of Westminster.
Supporters in Britain of the Norwegian Seven will be demonstrating in the Square.
The opening ceremony is at 18.00 this year.
We need to be ready for 17.30, assembling at 17.15.

Blood oil and the Raqqa-Ankara-Kiev axis
Selling petroleum gets Daesh 50 million dollars a month, which corresponds to one million barrels of oil. The production of Daesh is more than the combined consumption of Syria and Iraq together, and would be enough to supply some European countries, such as Italy and Spain.
Back in July, the spokesman for the CHP (Turk Socialist Party), Gürsel Tekin, declared that the raw oil stolen by Daesh is exported by the BMZ Group Ltd. the maritime company of Bilal Erdogan, the son of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and his uncle Mustafa Erdogan, the president's brother. After the shoot-down of the Russian Su24, the Russian minister of foreign affairs, Sergei Lavrov also accused Turkey of being impicated in the trafficking of Islamic State petroleum.
The assets of BMZ Group, whose growth was concurrent with that of the Islamic State, rose from 72 to 190 million dollars betwen June 2014 and July of this year. And the BMZ Group target for 2015 is to acquire five new tankers. On September 15, the company bought new tankers (Armada Fair and Türkter 82) after buying the Mecid Asalanov some months before.
'
BMZ Group's fleet is now composed of the following ships: (Name and IMO):
One small unit of slight tonnage, hard to localize by satellite:
BEYKOZ-E – IMO 9733856 : 74 m, 1804 t. Current position unknown.
A series of mid-size sisterships:
POET QABIL – IMO 9729582 : 134 m 7150 t.
SHOVKET ALEKPEROVA – IMO: 9633549 :
134m, 7100 t.
MECID ASLANOV – IMO 9711248 : 140 m 7150 t.
BEGIM ASLANOVA – IMO 9718923 : 140 m 7086 t.
ARMADA FAIR ex TURKTER 81 – IMO 9729594 : 140 m 7150
The characteristics of these tankers are very close to the aspects of the others, and two of them have similar names (Mecid Aslanov and Begim Aslanova) which facilitates the confusion. Because of their small size and shallow draft, they can use secondary ports or marinas.
Just like the airliners, all merchant ships have a transponder and instant locator beacon, the AIS, Automatic Identification System. The five largest units of BMZ fleet are so equipped. We will look at their movements:
POET QABIL – IMO 9729582 :
This ship left Tripoli, Libya October 6 to reach Illichivsk in Ukraine. (Illivivsk is a secondary port near Odessa). The Poet Qabil at an average speed of 8 knots (average speed recorded for this ship since its commissioning), should have needed but seven days to travel the 1300 nautical separating the two ports. It took more than a month ...
MECID ASLANOV – IMO 9711248 :
Arrived at the port of Nikolaev (Ukraine) from Haifa in eight days, which is normal. Currently sailing between Nikolayev and Ravenna (Italy).
BEGIM ASLANOVA – IMO 9718923
This ship left Perama (Greece) November 6 en route to Nikolaev (Ukraine), where it arrived on November 20 after 14 days of crossing over a 4-day distance (696 nautical / 6 knots). What was it doing during the extra 10 days? Currently on route to Savona in Italy.
ARMADA FAIR ex TURKTER 81 – IMO 9729594 :
After an out-and-back to the same point (Tuzla-Turkey) which took a month, this ship is currently en route to Nikolaev (Ukraine) according to information provided by the AIS.
SHOVKET ALEKPEROVA – IMO: 9633549 :
Now off the English coast. But on October 22 this ship left the Port of Mersin (Turkey) to Illichivsk (Ukraine) and reached it the 30th of the same month. Eight days for a five-day journey (nautical knots 1079-9). The three days of delay may be due to a the Bosphorus Strait bottleneck, but the wait is rarely more than a few hours.
What conclusions can be drawn:
• The tankers of the BMZ Group, suspected of carrying illegal Daesh oil, regularly visit the Ukrainian side port on the outskirts of Odessa. Every week one of the oiltankers arrives at the Port of Nikolayev.
• Two-thirds of their crossings have taken an abnormally long time, which could allow time to make detours to load smuggled oil cargoes in a Turkish port on the Black Sea. If the charges against the BMZ Group of the Erdogan family by Turkish CHP and Russia would are verified, then Ukraine would prove to be the principal client for Daesh oil.
Ukraine : Blood and Oil in Odessa - tracking down the ISIS Oil Sales
There's a smell of oil all over the World. But, especially in Odessa harbor, where it stinks. Stinks. It is natural. Imports of oil and oil products through the port of Odessa recently doubled. To be precise, up 150 and 220 percent, respectively. You can check online port authorities of Ukraine, which publishes the full official statistics.
What do these numbers mean against the background of the overall drop in cargo transfer, by almost a factor of four? Unknown.
Just one thing is understood: at the complete collapse of its industry, Ukraine started consuming more oil. And certainly most of it came through the ports of the Black Sea, principally through Odessa. Overall leader: Odessa.
You could wonder long where those transferred barrels are disappearing, through what damaged pipelines, and what might be the further destination for the "black gold." Perhaps they're going to top off their storage tanks, but where are they going to find so many tanks?
One might wonder indeed, in the face of all the idle Ukrainian oil refineries, but it takes no special grade of intellect to get this: the oil is not from Novorossia, rather from the side of the Bosporus, from the other side of the sea, where the charismatic Turks have discovered an original means of production on foreign soil. There's a name for it: fencing stolen goods.
There, under the screen of a civil war that morphed into an international conflict, bands of radical islamists, calling themselves a "state" selflessly pump oil from wells they have seized in Syria and Iraq. And Turkey has become one of the main consumers of this oil. There's so much of the stolen oil they've run out of places to put it; legalized ["laundered," we would say, if it was cash -- tr] it continues on its way around the world. Today, of all the Black Sea countries none is more apt for the further distribution of oil, than Ukraine.
In Odessa, in general, something is happening defies logical explanation. The biggest strategic region is living a mysterious life, where the law is the stream of consciousness of a dissolute Georgian, who had not recovered from a hangover. Where appointments can depend on an evening backgammon game, where the tariff commissioner is a girl, and who it is, that both conducts and covers this scheme, is also known.
Mikhail Saakashvili's partners don't change. And their fantasy is not large. But here is what they enjoy of Erdogan, as Saakashvili at first could not believe.
The East is a delicate matter. But where things are delicate, there, they can rip. So, in the language of diplomacy, there could resound a message of the contraceptive nature of certain political figures. [A metaphor, both crude and blunt, is omitted here. --tr.]
This is to say, at the end of the act the partners disappear without saying goodbye, and over the caravans of stolen oil hover very real Aerospace forces, transforming the dubious business of terrorists into a very dangerous occupation, where bankruptcy is indistinguishable from a funeral, which even relatives dare not attend.
After all, oil - it is not just oil. Just like human fingerprints, oils have their own unique chemical composition, that make it possible to ID where and when it appeared on the surface of the earth. It is possible to trace the entire path of the oil produced by the killing and the looting.
And it is terrible to imagine what will happen when they start finding out that the oil in the pipelines and the refineries of the country of victorious Maidan -- i
