Democracy and Class Struggle strongly condemns the arrests of ATIK activists in Germany and Switzerland and calls for solidarity with comrades

On  Wednesday around 17:30 police special forces  have staged a simultaneous attack on ATİK and New Women activists and leadership in Nurnberg (Germany) and in Switzerland.

According to  the  statement  issued  by  the ATİK Legal   office,  this  operation  was  ordered  by the Karlsruhe public prosecutor’s office.

Currently no names have been made public but the most recent information is that 10 activist and of the majority of the  General Council who support the democratic work of ATİK have been arrested by this arbitrary operation based on ungrounded reasons.

The operation took place with the special forces violently entering and searching the houses of the activists  by  breaking doors  and windows of  their  homes.  We believe this  is  an intimidation and repression act by the police.

It is expected that the arrested revolutionaries will be brought to the Karlsruhe court tomorrow Thursday 16th.April.

The  ATİK  General  Council,   Federations,  associations,  New  Women  and  New  Democratic  Youth activists  and  representatives  affiliated  to  ATİK   stated  that  they  will  not  be  silent  against  this arbitrary intimidation and repression by the police;“

This  intimidation  and  arrest  operation  run  by  the  European  imperialist  states  and  the Turkish state, will not withhold ATİK from its revolutionary democratic struggle.”

We call on all the revolutionary, democratic organizations and individuals to take a clear and strong stand against this and to express their solidarity.

IMPERIALIST ATTACKS WILL NOT WITH HOLD US  FROM OUR STRUGGLE!

WE CONDEMN THIS REPRESSION BY THE EU IMPERIALIST COUNTRIES!

LONG LIVE REVOLUTIONARY SOLIDARITY!
