Wilfred Owen, dulce et decorum est : "The Poet records the private heatbeat of his time and his time does not particularly want to hear it " says Gwyn Thomas
This is the most famous poem of the First World War. "Dulce et Decorum est Pro patria mori" means "It's sweet and fitting to die for one's country" In latin, the word patria means native land, hence patriotism.
