Rupert Murdoch shaped British Politics for 40 years
The Mayor of London has again been accused of failing to ensure the Metropolitan Police investigated the phone hacking scandal properly.
Boris Johnson chose not to pursue a prosecution against the News of the World in 2006 even though his own phone had been hacked - a decision he strongly defended when questioned about it on Wednesday at City Hall.
Almost 4,000 people are still due to be contacted by police investigating the phone hacking scandal surrounding News of The World, the officer in charge of the police investigation has said.
Sue Akers, the deputy assistant commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and head of Operation Weeting, told the Home Affairs Select committee on Tuesday
