International Campaign against War on the People of India - British section formed

On Sunday 21st February 2010 the British Section of the International Campaign against the War on the People of India was initiated at a meeting in London called by the Indian Workers Assocation (GB).

It was agreed that the two issues are imperative at this juncture:

1. Immediate cessation of all armed operations against the people.

2. Immediate suspension of land acquisitions and displacement

The meeting agreed to base its campaign in Britain around these two issues and a steering committee was formed to represent organisations present at meeting.
