An explosion that rocked a cafe in central Donetsk city in eastern Ukraine killed the leader Aleksandr Zakharchenko, the leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, and injured several other top officials.
There had been previous unsuccessful attempts on his life of the son of the working class of Donestsk.
This is clearly an attempt to destablize the Donetsk People's Republic - we will report in more detail later when more information comes to hand.
Democracy and Class Struggle stood with the people of Donetsk from the first day and we stand with them today more than ever in their loss of a son of the working class - whatever political disagreements we may have had over direction of Donetsk self determination.
