Democracy and Class Struggle welcomes the news that a Delhi Court on Friday acquitted Maoist ideologue Kobad Ghandy of all charges against him under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
Ghandy will continue to remain in jail as he has 14 cases pending against him.
The sixty-five-year-old is a member of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and was arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police in 2009 for allegedly being a member of the banned group and furthering its activities in violation of the UAPA.
