Telangana government showed its utter cowardice in arresting more than 10,000 people across the State and particularly in Hyderabad

Democracy and Class Struggle says these 10,000 arrests across Telangana State gets reduced to a few hundred in the small coverage that Western Media including Russian Media accords to these events repeating the lies of Indian Government Media.

The invisibility of these real struggles for democracy in India in Western Media as well as the hypocrisy of most of the deaf dumb and blind Western Left in dealing with the outrages in Hinduvuta BRICS India drives us to a combination of outrage and despair.

We are however sustained by a profound belief in the Indian Masses who have demonstrated outstanding courage in facing down the Fascism in your Face of Hinduvuta of The Modi Monstrosity and who will not let India be turned in the living fascist nightmare that it has become in Telangana Today..

Harsh Thakor Writes :

Today a rally in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh to protest against the fascistic encounters by the Andhra Pradesh police force was foiled by the security forces.

The state armed police pounced on the protestors and arrested them.

Such an act is an abject lesson to all democrats or progressive forces about how one cannot place faith in the so-called liberal bourgeois democracy.

Day by day the state's policies are becoming more and more repressive or fascistic.

In the past we had several protests against encounters by organizations in joint fronts which were allowed like in 1985.

We learn how the current state tramples upon democratic movements and only projects an image of being democratic. It teaches us that the govt only has semblances of bourgeois democracy and is turning fascistic.

Blessed by the tentacles of Hindutva or communal fascism the state is using every pretext of curbing democracy.

Even activists of parliamentary left parties were arrested.

Today any forum sympathetic to the C.P.I.(Maoist) is suppressed brutally

This is unconstitutional and undemocratic as any person in a democracy has a right to express his ideological belief.

We need to form organizations of forums defending the people's right to struggle not affiliated to any political group.

Dark days of emergency are appearing in another form as well as years of encounters like in the previous decades.

In spite of facing such severe repression the C.P.I.(Maoist) is fighting back heroically through forums like Virasam.

The response to the rally from Telengana resembled a bonfire lit or a tornado appearing..

Today revolutionary democratic organizations are forced to work from underground like the Andhra Pradesh Radical Students Union in the time of emergency or also in the late 1990's,

The tentacles of the state will not defeat the of the broad masses whose revolutionary spirit will will be ressurrected even further after this massive suppression.

A march by Telangana Democratic Front (TDF) members to the assembly here to protest killing of two Maoists by the police was foiled on Wednesday as many leaders in Hyderabad and other districts were arrested.

Leaders and workers of various organisations were detained in different districts to prevent them from heading for Hyderabad to participate in the march.

Eminent academician Chuka Ramaiah was kept under house arrest in Hyderabad.

He said arrests will not stop the movement.

Well-known revolutionary writer Varavara Rao was taken into custody at RTC Cross Roads when he along with his supporters were proceeding towards the assembly building.

Leaders of CPI, CPI-M and other Left parties and people's organisations were arrested at Bagh Lingampally, from where the TDF planned to march to the assembly.

Those arrested include TDF president Chada Venkat Reddy, professor P.L. Visweswara, professor Vinod Kumar and CPI-M state secretary T. Veerabhadram.

The assembly building in the heart of the city virtually turned into a fortress as police imposed restrictions on all roads leading towards the assembly. A large number of policemen were deployed in the area to prevent protesters.

Tension prevailed at Telangana martyrs' memorial at Gun Park in front of the assembly building when a youth tried to immolate self.

Alert policemen prevented him from doing so and arrested him.

Tension prevailed at Osmania University as students gathered on the campus to march in violation of the prohibitory orders imposed by police. Policemen in riot gear were deployed at the gates to prevent students from coming out.

PDSU activists took out a rally from girls' hostel but were stopped at NCC Gate by the police.

A heated argument ensued between student leaders and the police officers. The protesters were arrested.

Police also arrested two more groups of students including one at the library. Student leaders took strong exception to police entering the hostels and library. Scores of students and their leaders were arrested at Osmania University and Nizam College hostels since Tuesday night.

Police denied permission to the march on the ground that Maoists may participate in it and indulge in violence.

Those arrested in districts like Warangal, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Karimnagar, Medak and Nalgonda include women and students.

Raising slogan against the government and calling for an end to "fake encounters", the protesters took out rallies in different parts of the state.

Veerabhadram said 3,000 to 4,000 activists were arrested across the state. He termed the arrests as undemocratic.

Maoists Shruthi and Vidyasagar were killed near Medaram of Warangal district on September 16.

It was the first such killing after the formation of separate Telangana state last year.

Terming it as a fake encounter, 370 organisations, including 10 left parties and the groups which fought for separate Telangana state, have come together under the banner of TDF to condemn the killings.

It is demanding probe by a sitting judge.

While denying permission for 'chalo assembly', police said it was reliably learnt that TDF was formed at the instance of CPI-Maoist and the programme was being organised in support of its cause and the ideology.

In spite of protestors arrested it gave rise to sporadic forms of resistance in and outside jails.

Resembled a river breaking into several streams

Literally a spark turned into a priarie fire with one demonstration branching out into Telangana government showed its utter cowardice in arresting more than estimated 10,000 people across the state and particularly in Hyderabad to scuttle a rally to Assembly aimed at requesting judicial enquiry into the brutal torture and killing of Shruthi and Sagar.

However, it gave moral victory to Telengana Democratic Front formed by 10 Left parties, about 400 mass organisations and dozens of independent citizens.

Though one rally was stopped by brutal force, at least 20 rallies, to and from police stations where hundreds were kept in illegal detention for eight hours, took place.

At least 20 police stations have provided as many public meeting daises with songs, speeches and dances, besides so much of friendly talk and bonding.

Irony is that the same day three years ago, Kiran Kumar Reddy government arrested hundreds and tried to scuttle Sagarahaaram

What is Direct Action by Harry Powell

In recent years in Britain it has become clear that traditional methods of political protest - demonstrations, public meetings, petitions, etc. - which have been used to campaign against cuts in public services and bad practices by business firms are largely ineffectual; they don’t achieve their objectives.  Thus it is necessary to use and develop more challenging and effective ways to disrupt the oppressive and exploitative operations of the State and big business.

I refer to forms of direct action. So what is meant by this term?  In what ways is direct action different from other types of political activity?

I suggest that the term ‘direct action’ should be used to refer to activities which have the direct aim of obstructing and disrupting the operations of the State and business organisations.

For example, going into and stopping a local council meeting passing a cuts budget is direct action whereas standing outside the meeting place with placards and giving out leaflets is not direct action in this sense. Holding a public meeting to demand that the Trident nuclear missile programme is not renewed has no direct impact on the State whereas blockading the entrance of a military base involved with nuclear weapons is direct action.

Occupying the offices of private companies trying to get people off Disability Living Allowance is direct action while simply giving out leaflets to the public exposing this attack on disabled and sick people is not direct action.  Non-direct types of political action do need to be used as well as direct action.  The two can complement each o their but the limitations of non-direct action should be clearly recognised.

TYPES OF DIRECT ACTION

Direct action can be violent or non-violent.  It can be directed at persons or things and it may involve law-breaking.  Actions can be carried out by individuals, small groups or very large numbers of people.  An important aspect of direct action is that it encourages people to break rules designed to protect the rich and powerful and gives them self-confidence in so doing.  Small challenges can lead on to bigger ones.

The main types of direct action are:

Graffiti and fly posting

They are used less often than in the past because of laws against these  actions.  This does not mean these methods cannot be used on suitable  occasions.

Withholding tax

Council Tax has to be paid directly by those eligible and so is an easy tax to  withhold. As was shown by the Anti-Poll Tax campaign, this can be a very  effective way of undermining the State.  It is particularly appropriate as a  protest against cuts in local public services.  To be effective such action  needs to be on a mass scale.

Sit-downs

This can be effective when authorities, especially the police, are trying to  remove protesters from some space or other.

Blockades

Preventing access to some establishment or thoroughfare.  Usually, but not  always, it requires large numbers of people. This often attracts media  attention.

Occupations

These can be of open spaces, as with the Occupy camps, or of buildings of  various types, e.g, government offices, company headquarters.  The UK  Uncut movement used this effectively in occupying retail premises such as  tax-dodging Vodaphone.

Stunts

Environmentalists have climbed onto buildings, monuments etc. to display  slogans and this has attracted much media attention.

Sabotage

Damaging facilities and equipment is a direct way of attacking companies and  state organisations.  For example, protesters have broken through the  fences at RAF Waddington to try to disable the drone control centre.

Confrontation

Politicans and unprincipled business people have been getting away with a lot  without suffering any personal accountability.  They should be pestered with  phone calls and emails.  Their homes should be picketed.  They should be  confronted on public occasions.

Disrupting IT systems

The state and business organisations are now heavily dependent on  computer technology.  Hacking into these systems is a way in which  considerable disruption of their oppressive and exploitative activities could be  brought about.

LEGALITY AND ILLEGALITY

Some people hesitate to engage in direct action because they fear it may be  illegal. Many of the types of direct action mentioned here are illegal or could be construed as such by the authorities.

The truth is that in Britain today there exists a matrix of laws which enable just about any type of political activity to be declared illegal if State bodies chose to do so, e.g. setting up a campaigning stall in a public place.

Even if some activity cannot be decreed illegal under present laws the State will quickly pass new laws to make it so.  Indeed, the Tory Government is intent on placing further restrictions on taking industrial action even though the trade unions have for the most part been impotent in defending their members.

We should distinguish between laws formulated to protect the common welfare, e.g, traffic regulations, and those primarily designed to protect the interests of the rich and powerful, e.g. libel laws.

Breaking the former is not usually in the interests of the people but breaking the latter is certainly legitimate to defend the interests of the great mass of the people.

It should not be forgotten that politicians and business people do not hesitate to break the laws they have formulated if it suits them e.g. waging illegal wars, banks swindling their customers.  Of course, we should try not to unnecessarily behave in ways which make it easy for the State to catch us.

Even so, don’t be afraid to tread on the grass.

VIOLENCE AND NON-VIOLENCE

Some campaigners, especially environmentalists and anarchists, put great emphasis on direct actions being non-violent.  In Britain today protesters of all types are not trained and equipped to successfully engage in violent confrontations with security guards and police.  To do so would result in defeat and prosecution.  It makes tactical sense to engage in non-violent actions.

At the same time we should be aware that if our actions achieve some degree of success then the powers that be will respond firmly.  They will not hesitate to use violence against us if they consider it necessary.  What is more, past experience shows that the police can be particularly brutal towards people they know will offer no resistance to such attacks, e.g. pacifists.

Protesters should realise that any effective direct action will turn violent at a certain point and that we should be prepared to defend ourselves. If our opponents know that we are prepared to resist assaults upon us then they will be less likely to use violence against us.

THE NECESSITY OF DIRECT ACTION

If we look at the history of popular struggles in Britain then direct action has been a vital element.  The early trade unions were banned so workers, such as the Luddites, had to resort to underground organisation using methods such as sabotaging employers’ equipment.

In the struggle to obtain the vote the Chartists used petitions to Parliament but these were rebuffed so they had to resort to physical force as advocated by Feargus O’Connor.

The suffragettes found that peaceful, legal methods to win the vote for women did not work.  Thus they turned to direct action of a very militant kind.  The bravery and militancy of the suffragettes a century ago puts to shame the feeble methods of protest being employed in Britain today.

The working class and middle strata in Britain have been under attack ever since the Thatcher Government came into office in 1979.  Earnings and conditions of employment have been deteriorating and public services have been cut back.

Since the financial crash in 2008 the capitalist ruling class and their political representatives - Tory, Labour and Liberal-Democrat - have become more open and bolder in their class war to browbeat the people into complete subservience to the rule of the rich.

It is high time to begin the fightback against this pack of parasites.  Direct action is an essential tactic. If the direct action approach is taken then at first it will consist of sporadic actions with limited success.

But these can spread and involve growing numbers of people as it is seen that you can stand up to the enemy and not be defeated,

The main way in which our masters restrain us is through what William Blake called “mind-forged manacles”, people accepting that it is right and proper to knuckle under to whatever assaults the ruling class throw at us.  We can begin to break these chains by striking back at the enemy through direct action.

Dare to struggle, dare to win!

India : Kobad Ghandy gets three months Bail

Democracy and Class Struggle says brave Comrade Kobad Ghandy has been granted three months bail for medical treatment.

Kobad Ghandy  is a 21st Century hero of India and stands for truth and justice and is a light that exposes the brutality of the Indian comprador State and fake patriots of the Hinduvuta like Narendra Modi.

We salute India's proud son in his struggle for his health and the health of India.

The court is currently recording prosecution evidence in the case in which Ghandy along with co-accused Rajender Kumar alias Arvind Joshi is facing trial.

Ghandy is facing trial for alleged offences punishable under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act(UAPA) and various provisions of the IPC. The court had framed charges against Rajender Kumar under several IPC sections.

During arguments on bail plea, Ghandy’s counsel told the court that his client was suffering from multiple ailments for which he required constant medical treatment which was not properly provided in the jail.

The court had called for a report from the superintendent of Tihar jail regarding Ghandy’s medical condition and after perusing it, the judge said, "it is apparent that Kobad Ghandy is suffering from a host of medical ailments".

"He (Ghandy) is aged about 65 years. His condition has visibly deteriorated during the period the trial of this case has progressed before this court," the court said.

Ghandy, an alumnus of the prestigious Doon School and St Xavier’s College Mumbai, is facing prosecution in around 20 criminal and terror cases in different parts of the country.

According to the police, he was said to be part of the top leadership of erstwhile CPI-ML (People’s War Group) since 1981. He allegedly continued as a Central Committee member in CPI (Maoist) after the merger with People’s War Group and elected to the Maoist Politburo in 2007.

Ghandy was arrested by Special Cell of Delhi Police for allegedly trying to set up a base for CPI (Maoist) in Delhi.

The court had on July 16, 2012 framed charges against him for allegedly being a member of a banned terror group and furthering its activities in violation of the UAPA.

He was charged under sections 20 and 38 of UAPA relating to membership of the banned CPI (Maoist) and furthering its activities.

The court had also framed charges against Rajender Kumar for the alleged offences of cheating, forgery for the purpose of cheating, criminal conspiracy and cheating by impersonation of IPC.

Ghandy was earlier absolved by the court of terror charges due to want of proper sanction and later, a fresh charge sheet was filed by the special cell with another sanction for his prosecution under the provisions of UAPA.

Thereafter, he was charged with the offences under UAPA.

He is also facing trial for allegedly committing forgery, cheating and impersonation.

USA: Massive protests mark Narendra Modi's visit to Silicon Valley : Alliance for Justice and Accountability (AJA)

Democracy and Class Struggle says well done USA and challenges Jermyn Corbyn to speak out against the atrocities of the Saffron State and his own Narendra Modi supporters in Labour for India (LFI).

PRESS RELEASE

September 27, 2015

San Jose, CA: September 27, 2015: Passionate crowds of protesters greeted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with loud slogans and a sea of placards upon his arrival at San Jose's SAP Center for a stage-managed Silicon Valley “community reception.”

The posters, chants, and surprise banner drop challenged the Modi PR team's attempts to whitewash the controversial politician's record. The protest was the culmination of a month-long campaign to educate Silicon Valley leaders and elected officials about Modi's troubling human rights record.

The Indian American community is sharply split on Modi's performance during his first year in office, and that was obvious in the huge crowds of protesters filling up the designated protest zones and sidewalks in front of the SAP Center. As reported local channel KPIX5, Police sources estimated the number of protesters around 3,000. In addition to the Alliance for Justice and Accountability (AJA), a large progressive umbrella group, other groups also gathered in front of the SAP Center—most notably the Sikh community that showed up in large numbers.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the turnout, which was much higher than we anticipated,” said Bhajan Singh, a community leader with the AJA. People came from cities as far away as Los Angeles. The numbers are a testament to the strong feelings that Modi evokes because of his poor record on religious rights, women's rights, caste, digital freedom, LGBTQ equality, and environmental justice.”

Protesters enacted a “die in” to dramatize the attacks against Muslims, Christians, Dalits, women, and other communities that are occurring with increasing frequency under the Modi administration. As in India, Modi die-hards threatened and attacked protesters, including Dalit and LGBTQ Indians, leaving them shaken.

Local Politicians Not Impressed

Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, in whose district the event took place, chose not to attend. Congressman Honda, who has the largest number of Indian American constituents, issued a statement stating that he is “well aware of the controversy that surrounds Prime Minister Modi's visit…I will neither overlook nor forget my duty to be a strong advocate for human rights.”

Ro Khanna, who is running against Honda, issued a statement saying the US-India partnership “must be rooted in a respect for civic dissent, for human rights, for a robust public square that engages NGOs, and for religious tolerance and liberty.” AJA ran an outreach campaign to local elected officials, educating them on Modi's failed civil rights record; many subsequently declined the Modi invite.

Speakers representing the wide variety of groups in the alliance addressed the gathering and the media. They recounted the repeated and increasing violence visited upon India's most vulnerable communities by Modi's government and his supporters.

Said Virali Modi-Parekh, “Modi talks about Digital India, while ignoring millions of Digital Indians demanding an end to Internet censorship, restrictions on online privacy, and arrests of social media users.” Added Neil Tangri, “Since 2014, the Modi government has tried to shut down Indian civil society organizations, including targeting frontline groups, cracking down thousands of NGOs like Greenpeace India and the Sierra Club, and intimidating journalists who expose inconvenient facts.”
“It's important to compare Narendra Modi's words versus his actions,” explained Sabiha Basrai of the Alliance of South Asians Taking Action. “This is a man being praised for tweeting

SelfieWithDaughter, even though he actually slashed funding for the Ministry of Women and Child Development by 50 per cent just months before.” Imam Zaid Shakir said, “Modi was banned from the United States by successive administrations for his egregious human rights violations. Winning an election doesn't change the facts.”

Protesters held signs, chanted, and connected with communities impacted by Modi's regressive policies in India via social media. The die-in honored those who have lost their lives due to Modi's policies, ranging from victims of the Gujarat genocide to the 100,000 Indians who die every year due to the dirty coal expanded by Modi. An actor donned a Modi mask to stage a mock trial, indicting him for his involvement in the pogroms of Gujarat in 2002.

The month-long campaign included some of the following highlights:

Billboard campaign

The Modi PR team announced to the media that they raised nearly a million dollars from companies wanting to do business in India, in order to whitewash his image with the SAP Center reception. AJA responded by launching a billboard campaign telling the other side of the story. The billboards were linked to the #ModiFail campaign, which highlighted the gap between Prime Minister Modi's words and his actions.

Zuck, Wash Your Hands!

A week before Modi's arrival, Silicon Valley residents started mailing packages of Purell hand sanitizer to Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, so he could wash off the stain after shaking hands with Narendra Modi, who was accused by Human Rights Watch of presiding over the killings of about 2,000 Muslims in 2002. Over 250 bottles have already been sent, with more pouring in; each package is dedicated to a named victim of the Gujarat pogroms.

The Alliance for Justice and Accountability (AJA) is an Indian American coalition working to address attacks on Indian communities.

We stand up for India's religious minorities, women, LGBTQ people, marginalized castes, Dalits, and adivasis — as well as everyone who loves a safe and clean environment, free speech, digital freedom, and the right to openly debate and disagree.

India: Report on Shruthi, Sgar Fake Encounter : Barbarism of the Indian Saffron State exposed before the World:

Democracy and Class Struggle says how Narendra Modi can show his face before the world let alone visit London in November after being responsible for such barbarities we do not know.

The Western media is complicit in hiding these acts of Saffron State Barbarism.

Truth and Justice weep in the world

People's  justice will be administered by the People of India sooner rather than later against the perpetrators of  these Saffron State crimes.

Anger is not enough - action is required - and the first action is the exposure of the truth and the second swift people's justice against the perpetrators of such crimes against humanity.

Corbyn’s victory and the demise of the British Labour Party by Comrade Ollie C

Democracy and Class Struggle publish a contribution from Comrade Ollie C on the election of Jeremyn Corbyn as leader of the Labour Party and its meaning for revolutionary communists in British Isles.

This is a part of a series of  articles on the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn and a previous article by Comrade Sabnav is here.

Democracy and Class Struggle welcome contributions and comments to the debate on the future of  the Labour Party in British Isles and also recommend you read Comrade Harry Powell on the middle strata here.

It will not have failed to grab the attention of anyone who has even a vague interest in politics that on 12th September Jeremy Corbyn, MP for Islington North was elected leader of the Labour Party in England.

The left has declared this a great victory for the working class and for socialism, indeed the run up to the ‘primary’ style of election for Labour’s leader saw a frenzy of activity by the left in England from diverse tendencies as Workers Power to the Communist Party of Britain, they have all united to sign up as Labour Party ‘supporters’ and vote for Corbyn.

Yet Corbyn was elected despite this mobilisation of the left and not because of it, there were many people, especially trade union members and the youth who signed up and voted for him, and guaranteed his victory.

Many people wish to see a change in the moribund and stale political landscape in Britain, they want an end to austerity and greater democracy and civil rights, which the Tories are hell bent on eroding. This is all well and good, but the left are presenting this as some kind of advancement toward socialism, even revolutionary socialism, they are however seriously mistaken.

To be sure the British ruling class is angered by the promotion of Corbyn to leader of Her Majesties Opposition because it will raise certain demands which Corbyn himself is putting forward and raises calls for greater democracy.

The reactionary press has gone into Corbyn baiting override the past week. The ruling class is not at all united on everything though, and the very capitalist crisis we are living through creates divisions within the ruling class.

Sections of the ruling class are not as irrational and stupid as the Tories and Blairites, they see the danger of a fight back from the working class, the poor and unemployed youth, and they have not forgotten the uprisings of 2011.

They also fear a mass movement emerging against austerity, such as has been occurring in Spain, Ireland and Greece.

Indeed even right wing media mogul Rupert Murdoch gave some endorsement to Corbyn claiming that he ‘Seems only candidate who believes anything, right or wrong’.

The Labour Party led by Corbyn represents an opportunity to divert any mass activity or anger into impotent parliamentary protest just as the Union bureaucrats currently divert anger away from any activity which could undermine the system.

Corbyn’s candidature was not a decision of the masses or a mass movement, it was from Labour MPs who are pretty reactionary and support British imperialism. Margaret Beckett the former Foreign Secretary said her decision to nominate Corbyn was because they needed a ‘field of candidates’ to ‘widen the debate’.

So they were prepared to run the risk of a Corbyn victory, of course to many of these reactionaries it is not the choice they wanted but for certain sections it will be an important tool to keep the working class in its place, leaving politics to the politicians, in this case more progressive and honest ones.

Many people have now joined the Labour Party as a result of Corbyn’s election to leader, 67,000 by the end of September and some are saying it represents the beginning of a mass party of the working class.

This is not anything new though, its membership is now 380,000 in 1997 under Blair it rose to 400.000, and in the 1950’s it was over 1 million, in both cases the Labour Party was still reactionary.

Earlier this year in the run up to the general election the Green Party saw a surge in membership, which by January had surpassed UKIP and the Liberal Democrats for no doubt the reasons Labour is now seeing a surge.

The Greens had an anti-austerity reformist programme which appealed to many people, as Corbyn is now, in fact many of the same people may be joining who joined the Greens and indeed many former Labour members who were disillusioned by Blair and the invasion of Iraq.

These political trends of the Greens and Corbynism are left liberalism and do not propose to transform the property relations and production relations of capitalism and end the parasitic imperialist system, even if they vaguely expressed such desires they would not be able to grant such changes through the capitalist state.

Just because a mass party takes shape does not mean it can wield power or be revolutionary as the Trotskyites are currently promoting.

The Labour Party up until the current changes which came about through the Colin’s Review had a large Trade Union affiliated membership, this did not make it a party of the working class.

The argument that it does is economism and rejects the need to build political consciousness in the working class so that the working class becomes a class for itself.

The Trotskyites dogmatically argue that working in the Labour Party is necessary because Lenin called the Labour Party a bourgeois workers party and in his polemic against the ultra-left Left Wing Communism: An infantile disorder he called for work in the Labour Party to expose its leaders. That was in 1920!

Then Labour had not yet formed a government to expose its illusions and was not organised with individual membership as it is now, Communists could attend General Committee Labour Party meetings if they were delegates from a Trades council.

The need to expose Labour has long passed and its membership structure was created to exclude Communists and revolutionary workers.

Note that Lenin called it a bourgeois workers party i.e. it is bourgeois with an appeal to workers, but bourgeois all the same.

Its history of governance has been one of broken promises, racism, war and colonial exploitation. It could not be anything else, and under Corbyn it will not fundamentally change.

British beheading Malaysian Patriots during a "progressive" Labour Government

The Labour Party is a party of British Imperialism and serves its interests as does the Conservatives and Lib Dems, it is a bureaucratic fortress which is geared up to supporting Parliament and the British state.

Revolutionaries need to approach the Labour Party in this way and not on the basis of leftist rhetoric spoken by some of their leaders, the party apparatus itself and the capitalist state will always ensure that it remain rhetoric.

Corbyn and the other leftist MP’s do not believe in revolution, they believe that either reforms can give power to ordinary people or that capitalism can be managed fairly and more efficiently.

They will never seriously question the existence of the British state and its instruments of repression, these leftists will therefore never oppose imperialism.

The history of the revolutionary working class movement in the twentieth century is testament to the impossibility of even those who thought they were revolutionary being able to take on the capitalist state through the electoral process.

The mass Communist Parties of France and Italy in their quest to reach out for electoral success abandoned every revolutionary principle and eventually any pretence at wishing to achieve a socialist transformation of society after they had become comfortably incorporated into the parliamentary imperialist state.

Any party even Communist will degenerate if it basis its work on electoral support, the ideological hegemony of the ruling class through their control of media and culture means at most times the majority of the population of an imperialist country will support right wing ideology and backwardness and then the Party will have to tailor itself to such ideology to win votes.

If revolutionaries can become incorporated into the system it is a sure thing that radical liberals and reformists will pose no threat.

The left including revisionists around The Morning Star and an assortment of Trotskyite sects are playing straight into the hands of the capitalist class as they enthusiastically sign up to Labour and reformism.

This was not unforeseen for these so called ‘revolutionaries’ have always pandered to the Labourites and made demands which were either reformist or could not possibly be implemented under capitalism, those groups who were on the outside of Labour such as the Communist Party of Britain or the Socialist Party (formerly Militant Tendency) had their own reformist agendas via TUSC (Trade union and socialist coalition) and No 2 EU, appealing to old Labour style voters, and harking back to the days when some of them were part of Labour’s local government ‘jobs for the boys’ gravy train in Liverpool, now they have all simply returned to where they politically belong. Back to Labourite reformism!

Many of those now attracted to the Keynesianism of Corbyn and McDonnell will be looking back to a more stable era of capitalism and one in which life was easier for them, this is not revolutionary though and the job of Communists must be to educate the working class, oppressed and exploited layers of the masses of their own role in changing society of taking power and consciously master the productive forces and nature for the benefit all humanity.

We cannot sew illusions the masses hold in reforms or a more efficient capitalism. Reforms have only been possible in the past through the ruthless oppression and super exploitation of the former colonial nations.

After the Second World War the Labour government, which Corbyn and his followers hold up as a model, began extensive social programmes and introduction of trade union rights in Britain while in the colonies they mercilessly crushed national liberation struggles, outlawed trade union activity, butchered and starved peasants. This repression meant they could exploit the colonies as never before and give some of the spoils to the British working class via social welfare reforms.

The left of Labour are the left of imperialism, steeped in Eurocentrism. The social strata they represent, mainly the middle strata and better off workers, have benefited from imperialism and therefore consciously or not identify with imperialism and will not challenge it.

This was most evident in the run up to the invasion of Iraq when there was such widespread opposition and the largest demonstration in British history, yet the Stop the War coalition leadership (which can count Corbyn as its former Chair) did nothing except march everyone up to Hyde Park and march them down again! It appealed to left Labour MPs to try to force Parliament to wait for UN approval.

No serious challenge was mounted at all, even against the war if it was ‘legal’. The left Labour leaders play the same role now.

The imperialist system must be defeated and overthrown, otherwise there cannot be a socialist transformation. Most of the Labour left do not see this and from Ukraine to Syria have supported imperialism in the name of ‘democracy’ and ‘human rights’ the old colonial ‘civilising the natives’ mentality.

Those of the Trotskyites who do try to oppose imperialism do their opposition complete disservice by burrowing away in Labour Party wards at which they are ignored and appealing to Labour and Trade Union leaders or campaigning for the election of any Labour government.

The ideology of social democracy must be challenged in the working class and not encouraged.

The actual Labour Party itself represents mainly the professional middle strata and union bosses. The most progressive sections of these people must be won over but not via Labour. The sections of the working class bearing the brunt of the crisis are not involved.

It is these people who have the power to transform society and the oppressed peoples fighting imperialist domination of their nations.

Revolutionaries fight to educate all workers whether or not they support Labour, when material conditions change so does consciousness, there is nothing to say a Labour supporter or voter will more likely become revolutionary than a worker who voted Tory or does not vote, is a member of a union or not.

The desire for the new Labour leadership to oppose the movement for independence in Scotland is proof of their commitment to the British imperialist state. They have also been silent about the latest British bombing of Syria. Despite their humanitarian stance on the Syrian refugees they have failed to clearly expose that it is Anglo-American imperialism and NATO who is responsible for their plight and who are responsible for the war. We need only look at the shadow cabinet to see how pro imperialist it will be. The shadow Home Secretary is Andy Burnham who was desperate to bomb Syria, the Shadow leader of the House of Commons is arch imperialist Chris Bryant who publicly spouted Russia phobic racism on TV programme ‘Question Time’ and called for war against Russia over Ukraine.

The shadow Foreign Secretary Hilary Benn when questioned about Corbyn commitment to scrapping Trident and leaving NATO said ‘I don’t think that is going to happen’. Now Corbyn cannot say whether he will insist on voting against the government’s plans to bomb Syria on the basis of maintaining unity behind his leadership.

Even moderate leftism is kept in check by the right, such is the ruling class’s fear of allowing any concessions which may harm their plans. Corbyn had within days capitulated on singing the national anthem at future events and British membership of the EU. That is nothing new and we have seen it with Syriza in Greece.

There is also now a host of Liberal Democrats defecting to Labours ranks, a councillor in Richmond and a Baroness in the House of Lords, these people are not socialists but probably have a desire to relieve the suffering of the poorest victims of austerity and can also recognise when the system needs to appease the working class otherwise there may be trouble.

The reactionary press is giving the new Labour leader a thorough goading, which will no doubt make him more compliant to their current needs. If however this fails then the old methods of control are never far to hand for the ruling class.

Reports appeared in the press on the 20th September from an unnamed British General in which he threatened mutiny by the armed forces if Corbyn became Prime Minister.

Imperialist states generally don’t like to resort to naked dictatorship they rely on ideological hegemony and exploitation of oppressed nations, however the possibility of a coup is never ruled out.

So any government threatening the state of affairs the ruling class wishes to prevail must either back down or face the gun! Like Syriza, Corbyn, Labour and the Trade Union movement will never prepare the working class to defend itself in such circumstances.

Communists should of course always defend progressive sections of the ruling class and politicians who support democratic rights against the reactionary media and Generals but this does not mean we support them politically.

The fact that there is a moderate opposition to austerity in parliament is a reflection at growing opposition to the crisis and the wars and poverty it is producing. Labour and the left can try and divert the stream but it will increasingly become a torrent.

Faced with this the Labour Party will probably split and fragment. Either Corbyn will stick to his Keynesian policies and the right will break away or he will be forced out with the left tailing behind.

This could of course expose social democracy to the many workers and activists who have recently rallied to Corbyn’s anti austerity image and present an opportunity for revolutionary Communists to build a genuine resistance to imperialism and its crisis.

Revolutionary Communists have always and will always fight for reforms in order to make it easier for the working class and oppressed to be able to organise, educate, and defend ourselves against capitalism, but these reforms are temporary and will be turned to benefit the ruling class, they will not allow the working class to ever get the upper hand whichever ruling class party is in power.

Corbyn’s policies of state ownership with participation and greater freedom for unions could easily become a means of incorporating the workers and employees into the management of the global capitalist market for the benefit of imperialism as was the case in the 70s throughout Western Europe.

We fight for reforms to benefit our struggle against capitalism and not to pretend it will lead to socialism as the Trotskyites do. Labour and the Tory Parties are two wings of the same bird of prey – imperialism- and the working class must be prepared to fight the British imperialist state whichever of these two parties is in power.

Homage to Sridhar Srinivasan from CPI Maoist Central Committee

COMMUNIST PARTY OF INDIA (MAOIST)
CENTRAL COMMITTEE
press statement

Red homage to CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member
Comrade Sridhar Srinivasan!

On August 18th 2015, the oppressed masses of our country and the Indian revolution lost an exemplary communist leader and a brilliant revolutionary intellectual—Comrade Sridhar Srinivasan—known to the revolutionary camp as Com. Vishnu and Vijay.

He passed away after a massive heart attack.

The CC, CPI(Maoist) pays its humble red homage to this  member of theCentral Committee and vows to fulfill the revolutionary ideals for which he lived and  laid down his life.

His journey as a revolutionary

It was in 1978-79, as a young student of Arts in Elphinstonecollege, Mumbai, Comrade Sridhargot influenced with revolutionary politics and gave up his studies to work for the oppressed masses of the country. And for the next 35 years, he continuedwith undaunting spirit and determination to serve the people.

Comrade Sridhar Srinivasan organized students and led agitations in Mumbai under the banner of VidharthiPragatiSanghatana(VPS).He was one of the leaders of the historical take- over of Mumbai University (against fee hike ) by the college students in 1979.

When the movement spread to youths, he again played a prominent role in mobilising youths under the banner of Naujawan Bharat Sabha (NBS).

Along with the Mill workers Union, led by DattaSamant,NBS organized the workers during the mill workers’ strike in early 80s.He was among the key organizers of many militant actions during the strike period. He became City Committee member and the movement expanded to nearby industrial areas of Thane, Bhiwandi, Surat, etc.

Later, in 1990, on party’s decision, he moved to Vidharbha region, where he organized coal mine workers in Chandrapur,Vaniand nearby areas. When the party handed charge of Gondia-Balaghat division to Maharashtra State Committee, he took responsibility and strived to develop the movement with the Vidharbha perspective.

For over two decades till 2007, he ably led the party as the State Secretary of the Maharashtra. He was elected to the central committee of the CPI(Maoist) in 2001.He was reelected to the CC in the Unity Congress (9th Congress) held in January 2007.He stood steadfast in all the ups and downs the movement always defending the party line.

He had unwavering confidence in the party and its line. He opposed the opportunist trends that arose in the party. He stood firm despite the movement facing adverse conditions. He never wavered and stood like a pillar in fulfilling whichever responsibility the party entrusted him with.He stood as a great leader till his last breath with unwavering commitment to the revolution, steely determination and will power.

Arrest and his jail life

In August,2007, he got arrested. He faced days of interrogation, mental torture but, he never bent before the enemy. The State tried its best to prolong his incarceration by foisting more than 60 cases and even managed to get a conviction of 6 ½ years in a fabricated case. While yearning for his freedom, he continued to educate and inspire young cadres who were in jail with him. Never to rest, he utilized the time, in reading books and studying national and international situation. He interacted with various Islamic activists and tried to understand their movement.

Early morning hours were spent in writing long letters and political notes on various issues, to comrades in different jails. He got released in Aug, 2013.Jail life could not break his spirit though it took a toll on his health. On release, he stayed with his family and utilized this time in meeting and propagating about the movement. He waited to join his comrades, but, on his way to meet them, he passed away. His wish remained unfulfilled.

Comrade Sridhar’s martyrdom is a major blow to the movement. The proletariat and toiling masses of our country have lost one of their greatest sons who selflessly served them till his last breath, with nothing but their interests and the interests of the revolution in his heart. Comrade Sridharwill live forever in the hearts of the Party’s rank and file and millions upon millions ofthe Indian masses. Our party upholds the ideals of comrade Sridhar. It vows to fight relentlessly to fulfill his dreams.

Our CC, CPI (Maoist) pays red homage to him with bowed heads. It is sending its deep condolences to his family and friends and shares their grief.

Let us pledge ourselves once again to fulfill the great ideals for which Comrade Sridhar Srinivasan had laid down his life.

“Building on the new, unique and unprecedented achievements of the last decade, Indian revolution will certainly overcome the difficult situation to win newer, larger and more glorious victories”

Maoist Information Bulletin (MIB) Interviews CPI(Maoist) General Secretary Comrade Ganapathy on the Occasion of the Tenth Anniversary Celebrations of the Formation of the United Party

MIB: Revolutionary greetings to you and all our comrades from all of us at MIB on the occasion of the Party’s Tenth Anniversary.

Ganapathy (GP): Thank you. Revolutionary greetings to all our comrades at MIB on behalf of our Central Committee.

MIB: What do you think are the party’s significant achievements in the past ten years?

GP: Since the formation of the Communist Party of India in 1925, the history of the revolutionary movement in our country has witnessed some momentous periods. Of all these, the period covering the past decade is not only unique and marked by some of the most significant developments in our Protracted People’s War (PPW) waged for the victory of New Democratic Revolution (NDR) since Naxalbari, but is also witness to something new and unprecedented in the entire history of class struggle in our country.

The significance of this decade lies in – Ushering in a single guiding centre for the NDR of India; The Party, Army and United Front (UF), i.e., the three magic weapons of the revolution becoming stronger than before; Enrichment of the political line, military line, UF policy and several policies in the form of united party documents- Unity Congress documents, policy papers, important resolutions, summing-ups, articles, etc.;

Further development of the military line and significant advances in waging guerilla warfare, the participation of the vast masses, as never before, in the PPW giving it a true mass nature and rich and new experiences in defeating some of the most brutal counter-revolutionary suppression campaigns of the enemy; Rich and new experiences in building mass movements against imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic capitalism by mobilising broad masses of the people, particularly the peasantry, around issues of Jal, Jungle, Zameen, Izzat and Adhikar;

Rich and new experiences in building strategic UF in the form of Revolutionary People’s Committees (RPCs) at a primary level and better and new experiences in tactical UFs, recognition of RPCs as an alternative model of development that could be applied successfully in contrast to the anti-people, country-selling development model of the ruling classes; In spite of being in a very difficult situation at present, Indian Revolution withstanding a brutal unprecedented countrywide repression campaign waged by the fascist Indian regime with the support of the imperialists, particularly US imperialists, keeping alive the hope for revolution among the people of India and the world; Considerable support for the fighting revolutionary masses from the most diverse sections of the Indian society, both against OGH and in support of the People’s War (PW);

The merger into one party of CPI(Maoist) and CPI(M-L)NAXALBARI as another turning point in the effort to achieve unity of genuine revolutionaries in our country; PW in India serving as one of the important focal points around which international unity of Maoist forces and an international solidarity and support movement could be built.

These new and significant developments of the past decade were achieved on the basis of the new ideology, new politics, new line, new party, new army and new people’s front ushered in by the glorious Naxalbari armed peasant rebellion and formulated under the leadership of the great founding leaders of our party comrades Charu Mazumdar and Kanhai Chatterji.

All the developments of the past decade were achieved amidst and by fighting back relentless brutal enemy suppression campaigns on the one hand, and through bitter inner party struggles against right and ‘left’ opportunism that raised their head inside the party at various crucial junctures of the movement, on the other. One of the most significant features of the Indian revolutionary movement is the glorious sacrifices made both by the communists and the masses for the liberation of our country, without which none of the above significant and new successes of the past decade could have been achieved.

Through these sacrifices, the party has put forward an alternative mode of thinking and culture representing the highest human values as opposed to the rotten, decadent and self-centered mode of thinking and culture instilled by the ruling classes among the masses. In this way, these sacrifices have inspired the oppressed classes and sections of the society to fight for revolutionary change.

MIB: What are the main challenges faced by the party now? What opportunities do you see to overcome them?

GP: The following are the main challenges our movement is facing at present. First, preserving our subjective forces, particularly the strategic leadership of the party. Since the formation of the new party, we have lost a considerable number of party leaders at all levels starting from the central committee to the village level party committees. Therefore, we have identified the preservation of existing subjective forces from enemy attacks as one of the foremost tasks before the party. Understanding the importance of preserving the subjective forces and protecting them, we must adopt secret and appropriate methods of functioning, rectify our mistakes in it and firmly implement the lessons learnt from our practice, prepare new leadership and raise the consciousness of the entire party about the need of a strong party with continuation of leadership as a condition for the success of the revolution.

Second, the revolutionary movement has weakened in the rural plains and urban areas. This is one of the factors leading to the difficult situation the party is facing today. It is a challenge before us to revive and expand the movement in areas where our party have been present for long but weakened over time. Similarly, we also need to expand the movement to newer areas and open new battlefronts in order to broaden the arena of the people’s war. In light of the rich experience of our movement, we should utilise the conditions that are becoming increasingly favourable for advancing the revolution without repeating the past errors. In this way, we can definitely overcome the difficult situation and take the movement forward.]

Third, some people are trying to spread confusion in the revolutionary camp by claiming that changes in socio-economic conditions have transformed India into a capitalist country. They also put forward the incorrect view that the line of PPW has become irrelevant. But the path of PPW have been proven in practice to be the only correct revolutionary path for the success of the NDR in a semi-colonial semi-feudal country like India. Therefore, we must guard against such erroneous views and expose them. At the same time, we must deeply study the economic, political, social and cultural changes and bring appropriate changes to our tactics.Fourth, the Brahmanical Hindu fascist forces have come to power at the centre, which reflects a further consolidation of the ideology, politics and culture of the feudal and reactionary forces. International finance and the comprador bureaucratic bourgeoisie backed Modi-led BJP in its ascendance to power, which was complimented by communal polarisation in some places engineered by the Sangh Parivar.

After coming to power, BJP is implementing pro-imperialist, country-selling policies at a breakneck pace catering to the needs of foreign and Indian big capitalists and big landlords, while at the same time advancing the Hindu-fascist agenda in various forms. This will provide new avenues for uniting all the democratic, progressive, secular and patriotic forces in struggle. Newer and more numerous classes, social sections, forces and people of the society would be brought into the arena of struggle, and new opportunities for advancing the PPW will open up.

Fifth, the objective world situation is becoming increasingly more favourable for revolution. The imperialist world economy is still reeling under a serious crisis and all the fundamental contradictions in the world are sharpening. Consequently, the revolutionary, democratic and national liberation forces all over the world are gaining strength against imperialism and its domestic props. Maoist forces too are consolidating. But at the same time, socialist bases no longer exist and the subjective forces in the international communist movement (ICM) too are weak at present. This too presents a considerable challenge before us.

MIB: After the merger of the party and the PLGA, we have seen that a qualitative change has occurred in the development of the PLGA and intensification and expansion of the guerilla warfare. But now there seems to be deceleration in this. How does the party plan to accelerate it again and advance?

GP: Your observation is correct. That is why some spectacular successes were won in the past decade. And the observation that there has been a deceleration in it is also correct as we can observe this since 2011. The CC summed up the situation in 2013 and assessed that our movement is facing a very difficult situation. But this is at different levels in our different Guerilla Zones (GZ). In the past ten years, there has been unevenness in the development and also in the subsequent weakening of our different GZs. Just as there is unevenness in the economic, social and political conditions in our country, similarly not only among the different GZs but also in the entire countrywide revolutionary movement there is unevenness. This is a law of the PPW. Undoubtedly, it is our subjective efforts that advances the guerilla war, a matter which is not to be disputed.

However, guerilla war has advanced in the different zones on the basis of different economic, social, political, historical and geographical conditions. Likewise, these conditions also form a basis for the ups and downs in guerilla warfare. We should not ignore this fact. From 2011, we have gained some significant achievements in some states/GZs in the military front, in building mass struggles and in expanding the movement.

The movement was developed in some GZs in this period by keeping the RPCs as the focal point and consolidating the party. Yet we have faced a deceleration. The party identified the reasons for this deceleration and geared the entire party, PLGA and mass organisations for overcoming this situation and this should be seen as a positive aspect.

The OGH second phase began in 2011 and the OGH third phase has started after Modi- led NDA government came to power. So we should keep in mind that all these were done amidst severe offensives and by fighting them back. The party also acknowledges and wholeheartedly appreciates the positive role played by the democratic and patriotic sections of the society in lending their voice and support to the struggles of the people for Jal, Jungle, Zameen, Izzat, Adhikar and also their vehement opposition to the OGH.

This also had its share in sustaining the people’s fighting spirit. In fighting back this counter-revolutionary war since mid-2009, the difference in the strength of the revolutionary forces and that of the counter-revolutionary forces was very wide. Guerilla forces were deployed at a company level to annihilate platoon level forces of the enemy. Guerilla forces at battalion level began to wipe out company level enemy forces.

In these conditions, the enemy deployed tens of thousands to one lakh forces in every GZ. So due to the gap between the strengths of the opposing forces, new unfavorable conditions arose for waging our guerilla war. The huge deployment of the enemy forces was not only to crush our armed resistance but also to suppress the upsurge of mass movements witnessed in this decade such as the historic Nandigram, Lalgarh, Narayanpatna and several significant movements in almost all GZs. Thus, the Maoist movement emerged as an alternative to this decadent system.

The deceleration that occurred need not be seen only as the result of enemy repression, but is also a fallout of our subjective weaknesses. To come out of this situation, we have identified our mistakes and weaknesses and taken up the Bolshevisation of the party, the PLGA and mass organisations.
At the same time, we should also look at the objective conditions that led to it. We had taken up certain tactics to fight back the enemy offensives when it was at the previous level and won some successes. This leads the enemy to take up some counter-tactics.

So a new situation arises. So we will have to take up tactics that would again give us the advantage to counter the superior forces of the enemy through guerilla warfare and mobilise the people. A crucial factor in building up and developing the guerilla war would be the deepening of our mass base. The ebb and flow of the movement would always give rise to new situations. In understanding this and preparing the party, PLGA and the people for this, there have been some serious mistakes from the party. Losses increased due to shortcomings in the party to face the new challenges. While fighting back a strong enemy in the course of PPW, losses and setbacks do occur.

That is why Mao said that the PPW would advance through the process of victory-defeat-victory-defeat and ultimate victory. The PPW line would always pass through a complex process. Along with several smaller and partial successes and some big successes and leaps in the course of PPW, there would also be several smaller and partial losses, defeats and some big losses and retreats. It is a law of PPW that it advances in a zigzag manner. So we should look at the deceleration in guerilla war with this perspective.

Taking necessary tactics means this. Keeping in view the uneven development of the movement in various parts of our country, we should take up either self-defence tactics or offensive tactics according to the changes in the concrete conditions in our areas of work. This should be as an inseparable part of the overall changes in the revolutionary war in the present difficult situation with the aim of surmounting it.

Not just in the different parts but also inside a single GZ too, we will have to take offensive or self-defence tactics according to that particular Division/Zone’s specific conditions. Even if the conditions may be better in some areas, here also it should be subordinate to the overall difficult situation we are facing and the aim should be to overcome it. And we all know that self-defence would always include offensive and there can be no self-defence without being offensive. But in all the tactics we take up, preservation of the subjective forces, particularly leadership at all levels is very important.

The two deviations that may occur in our party while preparing ourselves according to the new situation are

– 1. Looking only at the apparent strengths and the severity of the enemy offensive and not identifying the underlying weaknesses; not looking at our strengths and advantages and the epochal role of the people in the revolutionary war; not strategically understanding the enemy and only looking at them tactically. This would lead to comrades losing initiative and becoming passive in the name of self-defence and finally losing the fighting spirit. This is a right deviation;

2. Not understanding the change that occurred in the contending sides in the guerilla warfare and trying to take up offensive tactics without taking into consideration the relative or to a large extent weakening of our subjective strength, passivity in the people and without giving importance to self-defence, i.e., preservation of subjective forces. They do not see the enemy tactically and assess them only strategically. This is a left deviation.

So studying the new changes that occurred in the revolutionary war and strengths and weaknesses of both the enemy’s and ours along with study of the overall social, economic, political and cultural changes that occurred in the country is very crucial to bring about acceleration in our guerilla warfare. This is one of the main aspects that we are seeking to achieve through our Bolshevisation. Increasing the mass base, putting efforts to mobilise the masses and increasing their active role in the guerilla warfare and in all PW activities are all very important to regain the upper hand.

The CC, the CMC and all leading committees are at present tackling the situation with this understanding.

Red De Blogs Communistas (RBC) Week of solidarity with Kurdish People's Struggle

Introducing the Internationalist Week organized by RBC in solidarity with the Kurdish people and their struggle against Turkey and the Islamic state

PRESENTATION OF THE  INTERNATIONALIST WEEK IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE KURDISH PEOPLE AND THEIR FIGHT AGAINST  TURKEY AND THE ISLAMIC STATE

Communist Blogs Network (RBC) wishes to reiterate its firm commitment to solidarity with the peoples attacked and oppressed by imperialism.

On this occasion, especially with the situation in Kurdistan, the Kurdish territory where people are suffering the simultaneous and combined criminal action by the fundamentalist ISIS  created by the imperialist powers, the so-called Islamic State and Turkey, which, in turn, has already been bombarding for decades, suppressing and indiscriminately massacring the Kurdish population.

The Kurds, for their steadfastness in the fight and in the defense of liberty, have now become the main enemy of the Islamic State, ISIS, a group of mercenaries organized and financed from the offices of Washington, Brussels and Tel-Aviv with the main aim of destabilizing the Middle East and North Africa to facilitate the strategic, political and economic objectives of the great imperialist powers.

To do this, ISIS  Islamic State is causing carnage, especially in Syria and Iraq, precisely in the states through which extends Kurdistan, along with Turkey.

Meanwhile, Turkey, a NATO member and a leading US puppet in the area, for many years has been trying to exterminate all traces of Kurds and Kurdistan, and has not hesitated to seize the excuse of "fighting" ISIS to multiply their attacks and deepen their violence, trying to present the simultaneous bombing of the Islamic state in Syria and against the Workers Party of Kurdistan (PKK) in Iraq, in addition to the wave of arrests and repressive acts against the Kurds within Turkey, as a result of an anti-terrorist action, matching the Kurdish people, struggling for their right to self-determination against Turkish fascism and for survival with  the mercenaries of imperialism of the Islamic State.

The fascist Turkish state repression extends to all Turkish revolutionary organizations, to mention only some, the DHPK-C, TKM / ML, ESP,

It should be noted that the Organization of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO) openly supports attacks by Turkey against Kurdish rebels, equating Kurdish Struggle with ISIS Islamic fundamentalism.

In reality, NATO, and Turkey, say they are fighting ISIS Islamic State, something they cannot do except theoretically, since they created this organization, financed, and armed it.

In fact, the forces that are seriously facing the so-called "Islamic State" are mainly the different Kurdish armed groups, both in Iraqi Kurdistan as in Syria, for in that battle played their existence as a people is at stake.

The bloody "ethnic cleansing" carried out by the ISIS  against populations, such as Yazidis (a Kurdish religious minority that lived in Iraq) shows what awaits them if they fall into the hands of ISIS.

Given the above, the Network of Blogs of Internationalist Communists organized this week of solidarity with the Kurdish people in their struggle against Turkey and the Islamic state, which devoted exclusively to publicize their situation invisible by the media propaganda

Also to report that Kurdistan is being besieged by the complicity of Turkey and the Islamic State, applauded and supported by NATO and the imperialist countries.

Honour, disseminate and support their glorious Kurdish struggle for its existence as a people for  self-determination against the states that occupy its territory, and its firm and strong resistance against this monster created by the Western powers, the Islamic State.

Long live the People's War of the Kurdish people!!

Solidarity with the struggle against imperialism and against all its criminals elements !!

By the self-determination and freedom of Kurdistan!
