Glyndwr Day Protest against Wind Turbines
Film of Glyndŵr Day protest in Pontardawe against the Windmilling of Mynydd y Betws, Carmarthenshire.
This mountain is steeped in Welsh history, it has a neolithic stone row (which has been partly destroyed by the heavy machinary involved. It is a burial ground and the gigantic windmills are to be planted in concrete bases on peat beds.
PAW (Patriots Against Windmills) intends to fight against this windmilling and similar windmillings of our sacred Cymric mountains.
Film also shows gigantic blades being taken onto Mynydd y Betws via the Gwaun Cae Gurwen entrance and protests which took place there on Glyndwr Day and on the following day. It also shows more windmill components being transported through Pontardawe on the 17th Sept 2012.
