Delhi police files 100 pages charge sheet against Indian Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy.
New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): The Delhi Police on Friday filed a chargesheet against arrested Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy, accusing him of indulging in anti-national activities.
Kobad Ghandy was heading the media wing of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoists).
The chargesheet that ran into over a 100 pages was filed before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja.
Delhi Police special cell stated in the chargesheet that Kobad Ghandy was involved in anti-national activities and had been an active member of Maoists operating in different parts of the country.
On September 20, 2009, Kobad Ghandy was arrested and booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
In December 2009 the court dismissed Kobad Ghandy's bail plea and granted 90 more days time to Delhi Police to file a chargesheet.
The court will take up the further hearing of the case on March 4. (ANI)
